Yeah newbies shouldnt be allowed to get the pilot kit. But what defines a good pilot or a pilot that is accepted to fly a heli/jet I am learning it on the training maps but what I see is that really I need to train and get some experience in the war. It gets a little tiresome to exctract and kill imaginary targets after a while. So then i just drive around in the chopper doing stunts like in quinling where I drive true forest or something I would never do that with a passenger or in multiplayer anyway. But then I can land and take off I have read most of the guides on the forum, but still I dont feel prepared because if I wreck it I know whats coming So could someone say to me what should you be able to do to be accepted as a pilot. BTW: I use keyboard only if I try with the mouse I will always crash because I am to addapted to teh keyboard only. SO would you sit on with me?
Lets try to define a good pilot or a accpetable pilot? Because I wont to know what you guys think.

i think that you are all being biased on calling pilots noobs... You should instead say that those pilots who have little to no experience should not be too motivated to fly. Everybody has their own level and everybody has their own sense of judgement on skill. Its going to vary from person to person. We should not judge other people based merely on one incident. You must remember that things happen and lag strikes, or connection problems arise. People crash all the time for all sorts of reasons. However i do agree that if a pilot who has not played the game and is not used to the flying here gets in a plane or chopper and crashes should not be encouraged to fly again till he can train by himself. But please, for the love of god, next time a pilot crashes, ask yourself this before you start cussing him out or asking admin to kick him; did he crash because of lack of skill, or were there other forces outside of his controll that caused him to crash? What you see is not necessarily what he sees, it makes all the difference. So we as mature people should respect other players either way and help them instead of bashing them. I do think that the devs will agree.

Who said pilots where noobs? I specialize in helicopters in my clan, and I love flying. I say the people who can't fly, don't play as a team, TK/abuse other players, waste assets and sit at base are noobs.
I know connection issues strike. It happens to me. Do you know what I say when it happens to me? "Uh oh, well, I'll leave the air assets to someone else for now." Not, "oh ****, better go wait at base for 20 minutes for the next A-10 and TK anyone to gets in my way.

ALL PILOTS ARE NOOBS!!!!(if they dont have adequate flight experience)
Anyway, This sounds like a good opportunity to tell you guys about The Training Mod and My Training Server:
Ban the Noobs for 24 hours, tell all of the idiotic/ignorant noobs about this mod in your PB message , and send them my direction. click here for password

:d uh:
Start up your LOCAL SERVER and learn there
You don't need someone to train you, you can learn all the basic abilities by your self... or use Hamachi (or other similar software) invite your friend and train together on local.
... or use Training mod posted above

I never really fly. I have never flown in PR.
If I want to start, how am I supposed to do it??? There is no boot camp server that I know of unless you are in a clan, or anyone that will give up their game time to "train" you.
Getting bored and tired of rant threads. Someone explain to me exactly how a rant thread achieves anything?

wouldn't you rather u had the servers best pilot wait for a a10 on kashan than a nilla noob coming in 1 minute before it comes stealing it from the pro?
you clearly have given no thought.

if a pilot crashes is shot down he shouldn't be encouraged to go away until it respawns unless he never got any kills in 10 mins of flight.
i beleive in waiting for a plane at the start of the round but to go after one after losing one i wouldn't do. i usually go fly a transport heli helping troops until about 3 mins until it comesback.

Yeah if people haven't bothered to find out how PR works that might be grounds for kicking someone when they try to fly or something, that's about it.
All this thread has managed to say as far as I'm concerned is "Dnt flyz nubs, im l337r thn u". Hasn't come up with any real solutions other then ones that involve the same players flying all the time.

Just wait for your turn, if you see a person already waiting for the aircraft to spawn go do something else with your squad and see what the situation is after you die. I've been practicing alot in the training mod and have become an ok pilot and started flying in pub and the thing I've come to hate the most is people who can't be bothered to wait for their turn. And when someone is selfish enough to cut in-line I will let them know what I think about them.

I know i have posted before But I would like to reiterate.
I am very annoyed by nubs that ask how PR works in-game.
I abhor noobs and/or inbred retards who are not only inexperienced in flight operations, but who crash their aircraft into the diagonal wall, or just plain forget to pull up when they are straight enough on the runway.
I recently had an experience, on the TacticalGamer server, in which I had be told to wait for the frogfoot and assist ground operations by clearing out armor and AA. I had just be shot down by the A-10 and was told to wait. The Mig then had been engaged and I hopped in an AA and shot down my Squad member's little problem. Some guy, who just hopped on the server, spawned in, joined some other squad than the CAS squad I was in and took my little froggy. I tried to type to him and explain the situation. But no. He tk'ed me, with the Frogfoot, took off, and left the server.
I am utterly pissed.
I have decided to do something about this BS and I do Have a training server up and running (which should be advertised below). Please spread the word to all nubs and/or inbred retards.
Thank you.

People should play training maps to learn how to fly and not ruin everybody elses round. Granted flying in the training maps and flying in a real round to kill someone is totally different, they should still practice on the training maps to get up to speed on the new flight dynamics.

I so wish they would limit the pilot kit already!!! Limit it to 5 or 6 so at least this way we will only have 6 people camping the main and not 9 or 12.

The kit should be limited to the equivalent of how many seats need pilot kits and proportional to how many available seats there are. Guessing hardcoded though.
