2nd place is first loser!!! Insurgency Mod blows chunks! That's the lamest mod ever, and FH2 is NOT even is the same league at PR. FH2 should not have been allowed to be in the running cause they were released like 3 or 4 days before voting was over. So how could it have made it through the first cuts if it's not even released? PR is WAY better than any other mod out there regardless of game engine.

This is garbage. I'm sorry but PR has pushed the limits in so many ways that even commercial games have yet to do....and then CS + Iraq wins #1?? Please. I'm sure its a fine mod that actually gets up to speed on the basics of battlefield functionality in CS....but hey we saw that years ago so :/. Oh well, maybe the officials will see the light.

As much as I wasn't really fond of the games I had with Insurgency, lets not bash other mods guys. There's obviously a lot of people that enjoy playing it.

Devs, PR's always going to be #1 in my opinion.

Calm down guys, this result is not the "official", it is just the most voted mod of the year. The produccer's opnions are not released yet.

insurgency did have a lot of hype and its pretty good but not as good as PR

Insurgency definitely won because of hype and just overall moddability of the HL2 engine. But great job PR DEVs, what you have done is extremely impressive, I wish you luck for the editors awards!

eh, it is all up to us to be honest, they dont choose the public does. good job devs we beat all other bf2 mods so thats something, brining back the silver is good enough in my book

The Competition was voted by the masses, but PR is not a game for the masses, Insugency is more so.

insurgency isnt for masses either. it can also be painfully slow + needs real teamwork/tactics. Pr is more played too

Only because 2.0 was really fowled up when it first released. Right now it's stable and playable (2.0e), but we really hope 2.1 gets the mod back on track in terms of gameplay.

Considering the numbers of votes for each games, PR is by far the best BF2 mod !

It's all about taste really, that doesn't make PR any less enjoyable so let's not start with the "BAH, they didn't deserve it!" bit.

Agreed. I feel sorry for 'em, getting 4th place with all the modeling, skinning, animating and coding they had to do. Like PR, it's also far superior to vanilla, but it's still second in BF2 mods.
Anyway, congratulations for best BF2 mod out there and a good 2nd place mod of the year.

It is what I've been trying to say all the topic !

Congrats to the devs for second place on MOTY. Very good result bearing in mind that PR appeals to a select realism crowd. Congrats also to Insurgency and FH2 which are also great games and all the others that were up for this award. I hate to think how much time and effort goes into creating games like this and I for one am very grateful, thank you.

Hopefully this time next year PR will be voted no:1
