In terms of game damage, does a tank HEAT and tank SABOT round do different damage?

HEAT shells seem to be about right at the moment, they don't have much fragmentation in reality so they're not as good at killing softies. Soviets always give their tanks proper HE-frag shells and US have started giving their tanks canister shells for anti-inf.
You shouldn't underestimate their armor piercing ability though, the best Soviet HEAT round is better at penertrating than their best SABOT round. Only HEAT has more trouble with ERA and composite armor than SABOT, perhaps they could make a tandem-heat shell like ATGM?

Oh and APCs don't have HEAT they have HE-T which is proper frag ammo which could use a bit of a boost (7m blast radius at the moment maybe go 14m)?

I'm kind of in the middle here, I do agree on the lines that vehicles are still not a fearsome factor in the game play because they can be destroyed so easily (with HAT being pretty easy to come by on most maps). But thinking from the guy on the grounds point of view, the heat already rapes you pretty hard...even behind cover.

On the first point of vehicles nothing being fearsome enough I notice that little to no one will ride in an apc/afv because its a easy target and easy way for the opposite team to make up to 7 kills in one hit (not to mention lose your whole section). I know I don't like being in them any longer then I have to be in game.
