The fact is it's not because we don't like the G3. I personally like this rifle as it's very powerfull anyways.
I agree that AK's could be sold to other institutions, but what about vehicles and aircrafts? I wouldn't sell those shiny Abrams just to stay with the T-90's, when I already have T-90's AND Abrams ... AND Other old vehicles still used actively.
Same goes for Militia, I'd like to see the BMP series with them as the BRDM is just a big armored car compared to modern APC's.

k, a nation can produce 1000 g3 for year , that will replace the 40000 aks that are around the same nation .

No Im not intimate wiht the Sig rifle, but I've heard some good things some bad about it(much like any rifle, nothings perfect)

FN Fal and the G3 will be a super combination

Finally, the FN Fal is a good rifle, one of the best i think :/

FAL and G3 ?? they are very similiar, i say, as an adition to the G3 only the G33 or perhaps a FNC could be realisic, the point is, that you will not find an army using western and russian rifles, so the idea of G3 for huge maps and AK for urban is simply highly unrealistic

okay, would not have though that, but still, the devs won't make the MEC another faction using the AK, trust me, so you should turn your discussion into a direction that could lend to something

We aren't turning it into another Kalashnikov faction, we are simply making it more like it is, since its a nato style organization. Until they decide to put in seperate armies from this group(whihc I doubt due to possible legal repurcussions or the like) we need something to really demonstrate the idea that its a mixed alliance not just one big army
I'd say make it more like vBF2, like different guns, like the insurgents, but more modern guns, unlike the insurgents which use older style guns, that the different armies of the ME use

Actually I find the G3 to be a bit heavy for my liking. I'd also like to point out that the AK-47 entered service 9 years before the G3 did, making the G3 the younger of the two.

Now, if you meant that the battle rifle mentality was old, then I'd like to point out that in a desert I'd go for the G3 for its range.

I think you just want to keep the dirty Arab stereotype.

FFS, is not an stereotype , its the truh! again , name how many arab countrys has the ak as main rifle and how many has the g3 .

Yes, but because this is a fictional multi-national organization, do they HAVE to use the AK series of weapons?

no. i rather they fix the G3 because it's shear garbage right now.


until that time comes yes, why not just give us the damn ak101's from vBF2, with new ballistics..

How about keep MEC the same except for the Ammo rifleman with a AK?

when someone regularly would rather choose to be a pilot, spec ops, auto rifleman, marksman, or sniper over having to use the g3.. something is wrong.
