The Lynx is faster than the Chinook, the lynx holds the record for the worlds fastest choppercplgangster wrote:chinook best be fast like irl and not be such a rpg magnet as the merlin hopefully and lynx would be a nice new thing for noobs to crash in to the ground i spose.

Yeah, and its the only one chopper able to fly inverted[R-DEV]Rhino wrote:The Lynx is faster than the Chinook, the lynx holds the record for the worlds fastest chopper![]()

Lynx is able to FLY inverted, not to do a loop like all choppers can do...Zimmer wrote:In bf2 the coppers are special so all of them can take loops.

There were blackhawks in 0.5 and maybe 0.6 if i remember correctly.TheScot666 wrote:Yeah, but the Merlin is a massive Neon sign, saying SHOOT ME! So this would fill its role, and is very useful, as for example, on Qwai river, if you had blackhawks, it would suck, and be impossible to go anywhere, even for Sangin, which is coming up, get somewhere fast, and less noticably

its quite realistic with chopprs like the lynx, loads of RC choppers can do it no probs.Cp20000 wrote:Flying a heli upsidedown in a reality mod? how proposterous...

All that happens is the rotor blades are rotated so the lift they give is very, very negative lift, then if you turn the chopper upside down (aswell as the rotor blades with it) that negative lift becomes positive lift and the chopper can fly upside down, even hover. Most normal choppers cant "fly" upside down since they dont have enough "negative lift" power to do so.
We may even put this in a feature in PR, should be possible![]()

yep, thought it would be possible like that, didn't realize that the BHs could already do it, need to fix thatCp20000 wrote:
