I hope all of you are looking forward to this just as much as I am. I'm going to be the Tournament Forum Admin, and I'll be the person who assigns you to your respective armies. So, as UK_Force said a few pages back, I'm the guy to bribe.

I don't want to sound overly negative but if arranging matches has taught me one thing keeping things simples is key. Most people don't read the finer details or fail to comprehend them.
The naming convention and protocol seems overly convoluted. Dealing with anything other then focusing on the game is a pain in the arse so allocating reserve soldiers and keeping track of them whilst under fire is going to be a major annoyance.
I hope TS is only going to be used for organisation purposes whilst in game chatter will use the ingame VC.
Not trying to piss on anybodies fire I've just seen the most simple of things go to pot despite been made clear over and over again. I also realise it's set up like this to make things realistic and fair but if that's really key why don't we just sign up now. That way when the next one takes place new people can be given priority (we'll have the old roster to go on)?

When we sign up, Wolfmaster, please keep in mind that SpungE, Xan and I wish to be in the same squad

First, it's important that you agree on which army you want. What I do, is I assign you to an army. From then, the commander of that army assigns you to a squad. You can apply for squad leader in your army forums.

Quite - it's more about community bonding then winning - we play with our respective clan mates almost every other day anyway.

Roger that. ASSC for the win.

Good point, but that won't be a problem with me, as Sir. are not a clan!
Lame point, I know. but there will only be us 3 in a squad of 6 and a side of 28.

I know vehicles such as bombing can be used well but not currently I think its not balanced with vehicles.
ill be quite disappointed if thats all this is, i dont see how the vehicles are imbalanced, and it drives me nuts when people want to turn BF2 into AA. The all encompassing nature of the BF franchise, is what seperates it from most other FPS's. I to would prefer to be in the airforce (or spec ops). so im hoping all vehicles are included

while in battle yes but you squad platoon fireteam or company what ever Force chooses to call them will probably have more so that there are 6 in server at all times

It's funny actually, you always get people coming to one game type trying to shape it into another.
For example I prefer CQB games typically but if I want that I go play them. I do wonder though what a smaller map with enterable buildings would play like (maybe just some hummers) - performance wise that is.

I am not trying to change bf2 into AA. If I wanted AA I would go play it. I have a 96 honor player. I like the vehicles in bf2 but I dont think they lend to balanced play. For a tournament situation I would like to see infantry only because it gives us the oppurtunity to show who has better teamwork and skill. if we have vehicles like tanks then on certain maps 1 team can just annihilate the other team.

theres nothing like trying to coordinate armor air and infantry if you think just infantry is team work you havent really seen tournament play, its when it all comes together all three fascets of the game that make it truely great to be in a tournament

Dedmon: Sorry if that sounded like a go at you - it wasn't just a general observation when it comes to Mods.

well Dont worry nothing hurts my feelings.
Although the Idea of mods is to fix the lame game that you got stuck with when you thought you bought something fun.
