Okita, where does he mention anything about boats? only thing i see him mentioning is a "carrier" ( ugh couldnt find the actual name for those smaller vessels )

So hes gonna have an island map with no boats?
Whether he has them or not, you cant have an island with a port/harbor and NOT be able to gain access to it[the island itself from the outside, or to the harbor]... that just defeats the purpose of a harbor..

More or less what i was saying was that theres realistically gotta be a way out of that ring around the island through which stuff can get through. Now, Im going out on a limb here and assuming an APC has about the same access as a small boat in terms of water displacement and such, so it seems unreasonable to say that theres an accessible harbor.... but an APC cant get past the reef in any location around the island.

From his description, it seems as if he is saying APCs cannot get into the island area, meaning there wont be any... and im saying that if thats the case, then that harbor must be pretty dang useless if not even an APC can get into the islands vicinity :P

Could just be a misunderstanding though... which is totally understandable.

Besides, I said so much more about the map, this is merely a small loadout detail that doesnt come until MUCH MUCH later.

Might be worthwhile implementing the TNIAD opfor or at least a militia based on the South East Asian insurgent player and kit skins I did up a few months ago.

Which map would that be mate, I thought this was the only ADF v Militia map that is in the works.

couldnt agree more, the milita will look so out of place on this map. if you are fighting east timorese they will look ALOT different then the eastern european looking milita that we currently have. i think the PLA would be a better choice for this map, as i think its more realistic to assume they are trying to set up bases on islands kinda like the way the japanese did in ww2.

Looks cool, personally I would add a ton more smaller islands and swamps (if did right it would be number 1-5 best maps). You said it was based on a real place, so that's probably not going to happen...

However huge swamp battles and island hopping, would change the face of the map, and make it seem less like Operation Barracuda. (Rhino said it was basically clone)

I also like the random villages and objects in the huge forests... It gives it the feel, its not just another (overgrowth/sand) PR map.

The reef probably took you awhile, but IMHO it should be removed or in sections and add APC/boats. If in sections it would still prevent movement, as you would have to move all the way around, but when all the Helos get shot down, this map will turn into another Barracuda/Jabal, waiting on the carrier for helos and good pilots...

Also, since its and insurgent/Vietnamese/Indonesian feel to it, why not implement some HUGE trenches/bunkers/tunnels and fortifications.

Niiiiiiice! But a small suggestion. Please don't make this Militia the same as the Current Militia equipment wise. Make it like an Evolved Insurgent faction.
