no you see I will have to texture it cos you dont know how the BF2 static texture pallets system works. So just the model and bump map will be fine.

it looks fine to me? There are lots of status like this around the city that resemble fish etc.

ok... this shapes got me... the center peices (now called A and B)
im trying to make the sort of mushroomed dent, on A and B that curve round the go strait towards the next peice.. o well keep trying...

The Dolphins good though, not 100% complete needs some finishing touches to make the shape perfect

Guys. A few post about that Huntelaar stuff is enough, no need to go on for ages ;) This guy has already proven, to me that is, by posting the wireframe that he's not a fake ;)

Anyway, sorry for the misunderstanding. We're just careful in the beginning stage.

Oh and..

Are we going to see more detail on the pillar? Or is that going to be textured?

Just from a 3dsmax user input. AEC Extended "walls" are really easy to use an a person can bang one out really fast. Adding windows and the like is fast too.

Good luck in your statics, I learned allot just working on my own.

thanks for the positives guys, and no codered fox not anyone can use AEC Extended walls and make windows and doors, these are not normal doors they are precisely placed along with the walls which are made from precision drawings and are accurate to my original plans

and the detail in the pillar will go on the texture, these are not the textures that will be used i should mention

black-wolf wrote:Ok guys, now we all can agree, he isnt huntelaar v2.0 :)
I dont wanna spread out false accusations or suspicions but i may remind you that huntelaar did have modeling skills himself... he modified the stolen models and offered himself to model sth unique so as to prove he knows about modelling. But instead of using his knowledge he simply stole one model after the other to grab attention which he probably lacks in RL.
No offense here ExoSkeks but you have to understand that everyone here has suspicions concerning new guys suddenly showing up with nice nearly finished models. You simply behave so huntelaar-like... I hope you arent of course.

Huntelaar didn't have modelling skills, he just added basic primitives like cogs and stuff onto models, and deleted bits.

Exoskeks has clearly modelled that base from scratch, which, as far as I'm concerned, proves he's legit.

Welcome mate.

can we drop it.. surely you IP banned huntelar unless you have allowed him back on hes obviously not me ive showed WIP renders and Wireframes. Weather huntelar had modeling technique himself or not he cant of had this much because if he did im positive he wouldnt have bothered if he had any talent in 3d modeling...

please drop it... I just dont want to be seen as huntelar while trying to join the team? you understand right. I understand where you guys are coming from though.

Exo, you really need to do a lot more polys on the thing all over, espically the pilliars since that is the only way you will get a good bump map for it.

The texture will work of texture pallets, and if you do not know what they are then dont plan to do ripples with them...

Look what this guy did here over at G-A.net

He first modelled this statue in really high poly, something like 20k polys or something.

http://i31.tinypic.com/2cnuixz.jpg

As you can see, has belts all kinds of detail etc.

Then he went onto doing the low poly which turned out at around 3k polys.

http://i25.tinypic.com/9tho8y.jpg

notice no belt, nothing.

Then he applied his bump map that he had made from his high poly version, to the low poly.

http://i26.tinypic.com/etxmd4.jpg

notice how the belt etc is still all there, looks like its at 20,000 polys more or less but in fact its just a bump map on a 3k poly object.

Do the same here and it will in fact at the end of the day look much, much better than a medium poly object.

ok, i'll try but ive never done a bump map before ive always used standard texturing and jpeg's bmp's and then UV wrapped a couple of times

im sure i can figure out how

and thankyou pride
