I'm not considering a fictional faction at this moment. I'd rather stick to something that has limits, but is something I can imagine. I prefer a real faction 100%.

Anyway, I'd consider a fictional faction a possibility to change into later, not at this moment though.

Oh and we're looking into having different weapons.

Is the FN-FNC or FN-CAL used around there much? could be possible surely?

Nope. Only in South Africa, and used to in Rhodesia, which is Zimbabwe now, only in the sixties though.

Guess you will use the colored US soldiers as models for the infantry? What language will they speak? French? The idea with an African faction is wonderful, btw. Africa, even though so many wars are fought there, is not really represented in any FPS-games at all.

Who will they be fighting? I think the PLA is a pretty good idea to bring some light to the current Chinese presence in many African countries. MEC will also work. I dislike the idea with "westerners against everybody else". Let at least the Africans be friends with the brits and amis, will you?

DRC could speak English, French or other. No matter what new sound files are needed to give the soldiers an African sounding voice. US soldier models shoudln't be used because the USMC soldier is very African American, and not so African (there is a real difference, you can tell).
FN FALs or SA58s are definately neccessary for the mod because the region has a lot because they used to be Beligian colonies.

Finally, the reason there are no African war games is because there is always massive amounts of genocide and civilian deaths that would have to be included in the game if they wanted it to be even remotely realistic.

How about adding in the RPK? Maybe just as a pick up kit or something...

There is allot of sensitiveness and politics involved in African nations and particularly the Congo conflicts with it's high rate of civilian genocide.

lol, I missed that part. Well, I guess its more likely that they would join up with the Chinese or MEC for obvious reasons...

I can texturise if anyone has UV Map of anything, ill post up my quick effort on the stock in a sec which isnt complete btw!
