ye took the main poster meant the small ammo boxes (not the supply crates).

'[R-MOD wrote:Mongolian_dude;931769']Perhaps a better option instead of little rifleman ammo bags, I think the Ammo Boxes(Not Co truck crates and not measly rifleman bags) would be a good compromise.
I mean the ammo supply units that can be dropped by Humvees, landorvers etc.
...mongol...
If you look back in the thread, you'll notice several people suggested it but had trouble figuring out where those boxes would fit on aircraft like the Littlebird.

Guess what they're doing for the first 30 seconds of this video.
Supply Boxes should be capable of being dropped from Transport Little Birds. Not the type of large Supply Crates dropped from Logistic Trucks, but instead the smaller variant. This isn't the first time this video has been introduced. We're just ignoring the facts of what should have been a common part of gameplay many builds ago.
Welcome to the PR bureaucracy.

If you manage to run out of ammo, you'r not managing it well and where is your supply squad member ?
Video evidence aside, I believe these choppers CAN drop ammo, but I still agree with Skodz and don't think they SHOULD, Lil birds shouldn't be needed if you have assembled a decent squad, (this means having a supply member gents) , and if you manage your ammo correctly.
Besides, if you NEED ammo urgently, Id hazard a guess that your in a hot zone, and I dare say that command wouldn't endanger the bird.

that was not an ammo box they threw from the chopper, at the most i would consider two or three ammo bags

Oh yeah, so they did. My bad.
Still, I think it is worth it.
On maps like Mutrah, the presence of larger choppers means re-supplying is not an issue.
However, on maps like Qwai, only the LB is present.
The PLA's strong point is firepower and armour (Tanks, APCs etc); with the US boasting speed and mobility (TOWvee, LBs etc).
Only having the LB means that; while the chinese with their large firepower and armour can hold strong supply routes throughout the map, the US cannot do so, without risking incursions into enemy lines with lightly or unarmoured land vehicles.
I agree that it at first glance it doesnt seem that an LB could store an ammo box like the one described in the first post.
I do however think it could carry something close, as you see in the video multiple ammo sources being thrown from the chopper, aswell as what looks to me like further ammo on top of the roof.
