[R-CON]~KILL~....Pirate-X,the map must have it:

US army base,no in the city.
A road from US army base to the city,(the road must be totaly dark,without lights and all must use NV)And the insurgents can set IEd in the road to stop the convoy.

The city must have streetlights,and buildings for the insurgents to shoot in the windows to the Marines.


i think its already a project! :D

Ok Pirate, I'm totally wrong, that looks really good!! What level of dynamic lighting is there available? Will grenades/fires muzzleflashes light up the terrain around them? If so disregard everything I said earlier :)

I like the idea of the thread starter. There was some mode in a previous version of PR where you had to escort a SUV. Maybe it could be modified a little.

Thanks Mescaldrav.... Im not sure if grenades etc... will light up terrain around the blast, spent most of my time getting the terain settings etc as close to a moon lit nite as possible and still have enough site so that insurgents could still see since they dont have NVG. It was quite erie when I first drove around the city after all tweaking was done, I realy think the night atmosphere is awesome!!!! If you look at the third pic, the fire from the building isnt lighting up the surrounding area and not sure about this aspect. The main issue is that soldiers and some vehicles glow brighter than the rest of the map. I will have to get with Rhino or Dr.Rank on that issue if and when my map is deemed possible to turn into an urban night map.

If an Insurgent picks up a British kit can he use the NVG? If so, the insurgents have a better chance.

Reference reference reference! Establish first whether you want a moonlit night or a dusk situation. Look at RL untweaked pics of how much light moonlight casts on its own (not taking street lamps in the equation). Check to see how "hard" the shadows should or shouldn't be. First get the amount of moonlight right (think general ambient light) then come in and add the street lights adjusting their brightness to match RL amounts/range. Oh did I mention the apache is suited to night missions with its NV? Imagine a helo roaming overhead barely perceptible to insurgents with RPGs being fired at where they believe it is but mostly missing. 1 apache on a LONG respawn time would be something to consider.

If this uber cool night map is going in the rotations, please make it harder to spot eachother, better camo so the we can actually hide in some shadows. Changing Basrah to night could turn gameplay completely, more stealth, not as many lonewolfes (maybe) but there'll always be anti-gamers. Great idea, I'm sure this will be my favorite map, I don't play Insurgency very much, 'cause I do not support battle arcade or whatever that servers name is.

Umm. This ubercool map is yer old trusty Karkand...

And it wouldnt be stealthy, just night and harder to spot eachother
