KP you should consider moving the hand grip more backward if it isn't going to be used, remember a hand has to be fitted to grab the weapon

Since the marksman is nothing else than an infantry man with better optics I think it should stay on. It's not a fashion before function thing, it's because of comfort.

AG3 and HK416 afaik.
Maybe the handgrip should lead to more accuracy and not to less recoil.
