If it's close enough to the POI, it does the job just nicely. Anyway, it's useful for lighting up dark areas and reflex shooting at very short ranges (we're talking inside a room). Come to think of it, I came across a YouTube clip with John MacAleese - ex-SAS Scotsman - where he talks about aiming weapons when in CQB. Apparently, with the MP5, you can just as well fire from the hip and use the flashlight for aiming instead of the sights.
EDIT: Beaten by the pros.
EDIT 2: Here's the clip:

And when it comes to using the light as an aiming device, it is possible! Since the glock is a secondary weapon it is mostly used from 10 meters or closer. And the light will be quite accurate at those distances.
Speaking from experience on PR forums is like screaming at a wall. Here's the manual, and like I said, you can zero the laser, not the flash light.
And for the record, I said nothing regarding MP5s.

Lawl
I doubt flashlights can be done well, reason why head lights aren't done(though EoD has lights on one of there jeeps and it looks sick as anything)

Yeah, I've heard the same. I believe the light is being suggested as that is the standard issue for the Norwegian military sidearm; it would be purely cosmetic, not functional.

I have yet to hear a reason for that.
Read, you said "tactical lights", so I thought you meant tactical lights in general.

Since this is what they have received and use in the TMBN (or the army in general?) i think it should be used here as well. But lets poll it

Give me a valid reason and I'll drop it. IF you can't give me something better than "it's gay", STFU and let's go for the realistic option.

Just do it like with the SIG we had in earlier versions, a light that simply cant be turned on. Would be fair enough imo.

The P226 in PR has one, and I don't see you screaming about that. It won't do anything because dynamic lights like weapon lights don't work well in PR. So it will not unbalance anything.

Finished the update for "3rd Gen" and the main model.
I've modelled the mag, and cleaned some useless chamfers and bolts, so the tricount is still @ 2,7k. May be tomorrow I model the flashlight.
Edit:
The mag is too thick, gonna fix it later...

Very pretty.
However, I think you could still remove the serrations on the buttons, as those could just as well be textured on, probably saving you quite a few polies.
