There's no reason to spawn the vehicle without ammo because of jerks shooting at main to require forward resupply, most populated servers don't allow that kind of behavior.
IRL the main base is used for storing and maintenance. The FARP is used for ammo. I thought we were trying to be Realistic here but if you wanna stick to Dice's old ways .......

My point was that the bases in game are so close to the action they are more like the forward base than the main base. Therefore, the chopper taking off would be the chopper after it reloaded at the forward base (the one on the map) after coming from the real main base (off map).

Additionally, adding extra steps that do nothing but complicate the game (it's not like one of the players is going to load the ammo for you either) would only add unnecessary complexity. There are somethings that don't have to be perfectly realistic.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but... Logitrucks have a repair thing and supply crates... ammI right?

Supply crates don't reload vehicles...
