USMC just fun and cool to play . brits just not fun and uncool.
that it becouse usmc got nice looking eqip and uniforms and most of people see usmc on news and connect beter to them.
i will love to see all maps with usmc
but this is just me
You DO know that PR was made, and continues to be a strongly UK based project, right?
Brits arent going anywhere, theyre just getting less of the limelight do to new factions like the US Army and such JUST coming out
In a few more releases itll be a lot more even im sure

this is true
Brit faction is fun to play because,
rovers rock and a squad can fit in 2 with all seats filled so its nice and tidy (but Jackal, panther etc would be lovely DEVs

)
The main weapon is fun and easy to use, akin to teh QBZ
The skins are well done, even if the kit geometry could use some work (Tonnie mate, get back sooooon!)
The maps the Brits get are interesting, and basrah in its day was simply the best map.
Only real problems with the brit team imo is that their faces have moved from makeup to zombielike and the good ol' voices of BF2 have thusfar remained and perhaps some of the newer kit hasn't been modelled yet and some of the Brit maps are a tiny bit old, but when Helmand makes its return the Brits shall pwn once again!

I would like to see PR without any US faction.
But that's just me.
I love maps like Mestia and Fools road, they got my 2 favourite factions on them.

i would play as british a lot more often if the sa80 didn't sound like you're throwing a rock in a tin can. A bit of more explosive sound would give me the impression that i'm holding a gun, not a toy.
example, in ArmA the sounds are more like the real thing

I let it load and play for 24 seconds before I realised there's no speakers on my work PC

Brits need a map with a carrier or just more maps with an attack chopper or planes. Americans are getting all the maps with awsome vehicles.

I wouldnt be worried about Brits being declined, same for US. What I would worry about is MEC/PLA being just a background for them.

Yeah, especially seeing how PR is mainly UK-based, I'd have thought the DEV's would've been on that by now. The grunts seriously need some more diverse working class-sounding accents. Pilots and officers are okay though, more-or-less.

hate to say it, but that video doesn't even make an explosive sound with the grenade going off. It' doesn't quite cut it as a reality check.
But what do i know, i've never really heard a firearm going off. I'm just saying i would get more thrills playing as british if my weapon sounded more like the MEC or USMC guns.

you can quite clearly hear the nade going off @ 32 seconds after the song goes "woo hoo"
YouTube - A Company 1 R Anglian
4:38 , same clip just extended .
the sound of the gun is HIGHLY depended on the position of the person whos hearing it.
also, "reality check" ... you cant get any more real than a helmet cam of a soldier firing in a combat situation... though youtube dosn't have the best sound quality its best we gunna get without experience.
compared with various shots in this video:
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=5znfTqD8B ... re=related
sounds pretty right, maybe a little "dull" needs a sharper higher pitched shot, but still thats up to the MAs like [R-DEV]Gaz and [R-DEV]Ukforce and the others who have better knowledge, but i would of imagine would of said already after this man releases this dose not sound right.

Funny that this turned into a thread about the sound of the L85... And the fact that it sounds like that IRL doesn't change the opinion of whoever said that he/she don't like the sound of it, right?

As Jaymz has said about a hundred times in this forum before - never, ever use YouTube for sound comparisons. The audio is compressed to hell and beyond
