I was breaching a door in Koregnal and killed my SL who was next to me . LOL

Its realistic that you mostly has so much stress under combat that you will hit the guys next to you something that happens each day. Most soldiers has so much stress that they even cant hit a barn 1 meter away. /sarcastic

I have, shotgun fight in training mode

from time to time some newbies try to kill you with the shotgun, all goes good when this happens. youve multiple choices:
a) shoot him with your AR
b) take your time to reload your AR and then shoot him
c) call for a pizza, reload your AR and then shhot him
d) knife him

Shot a guy on Korengal with it. He was about 5 feet away and I don't know if it was lag or not, but he flew like 5 feet back into the air. 1 Shot too. Sometimes it takes 2 shots close quarters to kill though.

I'm 1/1, both times had inadvertanly flipped to the shotty,

last night on Chicago =H= while defending Gvt Office on Kwai the enemy were coming over the wall on ropes and after blasting 3-4 rounds at 2M one of them dropped. They ripped me a new one though.

2 weeks ago on Kashan I walked around a container in the bunker and face to face with tango fired and he didn't flinch, until he shot me dead.

I aimed at a guys head with it, about 2 feet away, behind him... I fired two shots, then he turned around and shot me... I never used the shotgun since.

I tried tking someone with it once when the round was ending I shot him 3 times and he didn't die then the round ended :/

Yep the shotgun sucks to much, take it back to normal BF2 standards imo.



lol! seems the shotgun is responsible for more TK's than K's.
Same goes for me, more tks with it than ks lol.

A: no, because its used for breaching and im not stupid enough to use it for other reasons.

Its a goddamn slugshot, its not made to kill anything bigger than a plate. A real shotgun could always help

It is just a humiliation weapon, like the knife/binders. You use it to say 'yes, you did just get massively owned.'

why - because there is absolutely no point in using a shotgun when you have a perfectly good rifle in combat in PR

I was only killed because the guy came up right behind me, but I respawned and got him when he tried again

Shotguns are perfectly good weapons and actually superior to rifles in close quarters (and home defense!). Why all this stuff about which weapon you are "supposed" to use? If I had nothing better than a pencil, you can be sure I'd use that before trying to find bullets for the weapon that I am "supposed" to use... Wouldn't a sensible person rather switch to shotgun (if it could hit something smaller than a house) than try to reload main weapon.

we not talking about RL shotguns which are good in CQC, we are talking about PR shotguns, which have a massive deviation and is slug shot. both of which make it useless in CQC. so people who use it are gunna die.

I'm rather sure there is special breaching ammunition irl that isnt useful for combat, and that the shotguns in PR are using that. I mean, when breaching, you dont want over-penetration etc.

I've no real experience with shotguns, but it'd make sense.

Over-penetration can be a very real problem.
