It's going extremely slow for me... is there any chance this will improve or can i better just use the normal torrents?

Hmm, lets do the math:

Data downloaded: 3.22GB roughly (pr folder file size)
Time taken: 240 minutes roughly
Average speed: 0.224MB per second

hmmm, math not looking so good now. usually I can download at max speed of 1.6 MB/s. then again it is a freshly seeded file.

Yes. I Seems that I might be running out of outbound traffic. But that's not a big issue really when you only 4 seeds. In about 2 days when the heat of release day cools down. It will be faster still.

hmm only need the core... and need backups for reinstall

yay finaly got on website to download and look 32 hrs to dwnload core

this seems a little too complicated and risky just for a faster download speed, personally im gunna stick to the torrent i have going atm, im sure i'll still be alive in a few hours time lol.

and do i have to uninstall v0.8 in order to install v0.85? if so how do i go about doing this? cheers!

I just downloaded it used this but forgot I am going to re format very soon after I get my new sound card (few days). I can see above it says about no easy way of backing it up but is there any way of backing it up?

Yes. Just make a copy of the "BF2install-Folder\mods\pr" folder and burn it to disc or save it on to a 2nd hard drive and then when you have formmated/installed on your new PC. Install bF2 as normal. Then copy back the back "pr" folder into your BF2 "mods" folder and then run the "PR-Downloader". The "PR-Downloader" will file hash check all the files and add the desktop/start menu short cuts needed to play. As long as the backup folder was good. the "PR-Downloader" will not need to download anything at all. That's it.

Took me 5 hrs to complete. Left it running over night. I like the fact that I just began the download and basically had to do nothing else. No problems, could have been a bit faster but I was sleeping anyway ! Thanks, good job !

Im stuck with 60kb/s max due to "The line that cant be fixed" implied by the last 4 BT engineers sent out who all failed.
