the big problem about punk buster is that there are manny hacks for BF2 that punkbuster can not pick up...

as for saying if its on the PR servers? yes it is, on most. But it dose very little for .25 as there are no files to tell punkbuster if the user has changed his own files ect. This should be fixed for .3

You can use customised PB cfgs that will be more precise about what they are looking for. PsB provides a template on their site. Having just spoken to Ominix on IRC (PsB Admin) I can confirm that the MBL works with BF2 and mods.

Rhino, that's where the screenshots come in. The PsB cfg would force the server to take random PB screenshots of all players, which the server admins should periodically review to catch people out. The screenshots catch what PB doesn't That's the point in them. What PsB do is why EvenBalance (the makers of PB) ONLY officially endorse PsB. The standard PB setup is only a minimal template which PsB takes to the next level. From 2 1/2 experience in using it, I can tell you from experience that it is HIGHLY effective. It's around 7 times more effective than the standard PB setup.

Just to cover a few points
- We operate a "streaming" system that means PB violations and detections from our configs are sent to our servers. Any positive catches are added to our master ban list (MBL) automatically.

- We then have our Auto-MBL software which downloads the latest ban list and checks to your server - new ban updates are produced every couple of hours.

- Any PB screenshots from a streaming server can be verified in our system automatically - we provide an upload facility which can ensure screenshots aren't tampered, thanks to streaming. These are then put up for vote and all members can vote on the outcome.

Screenshots such as the ones in this thread could have been submitted and put on the MBL within a couple of days - banning the player across over 400 servers.

- We have an appeal system and take great care in ensuring the bans are as accurate as possible - no easy task.

- And it's free.

We're currently running with 415 BF2 servers and 1652 bans on the BF2 MBL and are always looking for more servers. The more servers we have, the more effective the system becomes as banned cheaters can access less servers.

Over all games, we have in excess of 2,600 servers - COD2 is the most recent PB game and already we have 930 servers and still climbing.

Our *old (multiplay)* server was streaming to PsB - But, I have to confess to not changing the details over to our new server. My bad. We are 5017

I've change the IP's in my admintools, however, I've still got to manually sort the pb files on the server. I'm having a bit of a nightmare with FTP access to my server at the mo.. hopefully to be sorted soon.

PsB is a great system.. we'll happily stream to it.

This past weekend had few people with unbelievable "Dedmon type" scores and no deaths on the GH server and using no armour maps.
I even Dedmon cannt go a round without a death.

I could but just wouldnt have any kills My *** would be hiding somewhere.

you can, but I can't remember the console cmd. You have to set up your PB client a set way to receive a copy of the PBSS you send to the server. Otherwise your PBVSS folder won't have any copies. Well you could with CoD anyway

Not of other players, unless the admin specifically sets it up (there are ways). Trouble is, you could potentially cause a lot of lag for other players by bombarding them with requests.
