I play rather old mod for Quake2, named Action Quake. It was launched in 1998 and my clan is also that old. And I remember that somewhere in 2001-2002 people already were posting this same stuff on the forums, end of lifespan, golden times are behind etc. But still people play it even today after 11 years and we are talking a lot smaller mod here which has some new maps few times a year and nothing more. The mod itself was updated last time in the year 2000 :D

PR will do fine lads, dont you worry

Particularily if you are a developer or run a fast setup?
The second a game becomes more fun/more rewarding than PR...we'll I'll be outta here. No offence to any1 ofc, I don't have unlimited time so I put my time in where its most rewarding, atm that is PR. But we'll see, and it looks like ArmA 2 will provide a different kind of experience, big maps = great etc, but it may also be unoptimised again and boring terrain unless ur near an urban center and I'm not going to spend ages just driving to my destination. PR = realism...while preserving gameplay.

I've never understood people comparing PR to ArmA.

The only thing they have in common is realism and factions.

In that case... lockage in a green can with a purple label yelling "CLOSE THIS THREAD"!

(because this is going nowhere...)
