Well, it IS pb's fault. They did that just recently. It's not specific per game, it happens if you have Fraps on, Xfire on, or the mumble overlay on.

Punkbuster blows some serious ****. It kicks the normapl players more than the hackers

Which of these mods have a big following?

As far as I know, PR is the only widely played BF2 mod.

It has a bunch of servers, just a few bit of players..


Check it out after they release the normandy update.

During night..

During dyas it has 64 guys in one server.. Hslan.

And FH1 too!... i played yesterday during day and it had 64 guys on it

Have you ever looked at old clothes? Almost everything is grey. Since people couldnt see color there was no reason to dye them at all. It is the same with glasses, it was the evolution of the eye that created colorvision but it also made us see worse due to the strain, hence if you look at pictures of 100 years ago almost nobody had glasses.

Operation Peacekeeper is an excellent mod. Such a shame few people play it

Point of existence and forgotten hope 2 are probibly the two best BF2 mods other than PR.
Forgotten hope 2 has the weapons of world war 2 and fighting on infantry terms is quite intense. you use iron sites bolt action rifles when your ground pounding. and the vehicles are good too, with a very manuel feel.

Point of Existance is not populated any more. i still have it and check it from time to time, but on average there would be less than 60 players playing on a good day. however, its basically the German armed forces (modern day time setting) versus the Ukranian Army. Using sophisticated rifles and infantry tools such as the dingo and various interesting rifles.

But like most Mods, they are most popular when a new version comes out. PR is one of the mods as well as Forgotten hope that is always popular.

I have tried a lot of mods in the past year. I dont know if anyone said "the BF2 stargate mod" but i tried the first beta and it was allright. But riddled with bugs. And the gameplay style is Asymetric. I hope they make a more realistic release some time, but for now, its most likely unpopulated.

If you like the Bf2 gameplay you will enjoy most of the Bf2 mods, if you are looking for mods with severe gameplay changes, you will find none but PR.

Most of bf2 mods are just bf2 with another theme, some are better than bf2 but the gameplay will be the same.

I personaly like Fh2, Eod2 and Poe2, but they all have the bf2 gameplay (respawn on SL, keep going from flag to flag without a real "objective", grab all vehicles and since they are disposable drop then anywhere etc...)

For real gameplay changes i sugest playing PR.

Because they made them so that when we could see in color we would be able to.

Oh and the world isn't flat! Thats crazy!.

I'm a big Forgotten Hope fan, and have been since BF1942. I strongly recommend FH2 is you want to see historically accurate and semi-realistic (much better than vanilla, but not PR) WW2 combat in the bf2 engine.

I wouldent mind playing another mod but I think that PR is the only Mod that normaly has Australians playing most days and I seem to get terriable pings on very other non australian sever
