It would take atleast till 1.0 to get the Taiwanese out. I feel we should do it to the best of our ability and no just scrap together a bunch of reskins and rush it out.
The Differences

Current US Army

As you can see very little vest gear, and only some pouches.

And if you look above you see the same gear the current USMC in R/L have on but not the ones in PR which are from vBF2. Besides would you rather have a reskinned PLA, with M4s in 5 days or wait 6 months for a new kit geometry, new vehicles, new weapons, and faces?

Hi Johan.!

I have saw your mail. I directy reply you in this thread

I’m really happy to hear that you are interested in our plan. It’s true that more players take their eyes on middle-east and western warfare. But asia should be a important part of PR too. I saw the works of French and JSDF. They are awesome and already have great progress. We are just getting start, what we lack is more helping hands! Thank for you message. I will contact Noobage and ask if he could help us. Seems he is a expert making models.

Taiwan air force include M2000-5EI x 48, M2000-5DI x 12 (lost 1 and 3 in accident)
They are purchased in 1992.

There are also 6 La Fayette class ships in Navy

BTW, our M2000 model is Semi-finished, it is more like a draft …
It’s not made by our current team. It is from a ex-TW mod team. You can see it in the link below. I think your model should be better than us.

Well lets not argue about who's joining who and actually get to work.
This is what I think we should do.
High Priority
T91 ---------------------------------------------Weapon Model
Taipei ------------------------------------------ Map
Taiwanese Beach------------------------------Map
M60A3-------------------------------------------Vehicle Model
CM-32-------------------------------------------Vehicle Model
CM-32 MGS-------------------------------------Vehicle Model
AIDC F-CK-1 Ching-kou-----------------------Vehicle Model

Medium Priority
Re-skin of US Forces/New kit geometry------Kit
SPAS-12-----------------------------------------Weapon Model
AAV-P7A1---------------------------------------Vehicle Model
M24 Reskin--------------------------------------Reskin
MK-153 SMAW or APILAS----------------------Weapon Model
M1911 Reskin------------------------------------Reskin

Low Priority
SAR-21-------------------------------------------Weapon Model

As you can see we need some skinners and modelers. Our current modelers (2 or 3) won't be able to do much of this. Our skinners (1 or 2) won't be able to do this fast enough to turn us into another French...
Mappers are needed too =D

Ask USI to use their OH-58D model, saves time and effect.

Wow, a lot could certainly be missed if one's away from the forums for a week 0_o

Hey Nozumu, nice to see some progress being made since last time we chatted :)

Looking through your plan(I'm assuming you are the leader), I'd recommend you direct most of the focus on infantry weapons and light armored vehicles. The Key assets that you should spend most time on are the T-91 rifle series, AT weaponry, APC's and jeeps, these should be HIGH priority. Don't worry about air assets as they won't be appreciated much if don't have a large 4x4 map. Also, the Spec-ops or "Nighhawk" class is unnecessary as PR has gotten rid of "Special Forces".

I'd also recommend you assigning one of your mappers to make an beach head or amphibious assault maps, this would give the faction an opportunity to show off its vehicle assets and also it'd be mutually beneficial for both the PLANM community faction and the Taiwan community faction.

BTW, looking at the AAV and T91 pictures, It seems the AAV has soom faces that needs to be aligned properly and the T-91 needs to be more rounded, right now it still looks very blocky

If you have any questions, feel free to PM me, though right now I cannot promise a quick reply as I'm away from home.

Good Luck

cool :)

your AAV7 is really low poly right now and has some bad faces. I would recommend concentrating your polys on the main body more :)

OH-58D, the USI team is working on one which PR should be getting soon, your model is looking pretty good thou, but not as nice as the USI one which just needs exporting :)

good luck, keep it up :)

ask some question

1. If I'm going to create a new faction, do I just copy the "Soldiers" file and adapt it?
2. I edited some soldier's skin from SF faction. DO I just need to copy the "Soldiers" file ?
3. The links in the sub forum "Texture Resources" of "Modding Tutorials" all lost
