your logic is bad son.. the reason they have it is because your CPU diverts more power than normal into this exe. speeding it up..
No, its not untrue it just depends on your system thats all. Of course it could speed things up as bf2 now gets all the attention but leaving other programs behind could make it unstable. For example when i put bf2 on high priority my sound starts to scatter around, animations play like im lagging. And worse thing is it doesn't react instant anymore so when i press W 0.5 seconds later it starts moving, really annoying.
But overall my fps is higher...

SLz wrote:yes. you wont need to change the fps it wont effect or do anything wrong :/ if you put it to low the game will become "julty" to stop "jultyness" just turn up FPS cap i think BF2 default is 1000 but i dont know anybody that can get a constant on 1000 ?
I would advise anyone reading this thread to take it with a big grain of salt. Simply put... anyone who has been playing BF2 for awhile knows that the default cap is 100 fps. I think taking advice from someone who claims to know how to increase fps but doesn't know the default value is sketchy at best.
BF2 turns 4 yrs old this month and none of these "tips" are new.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!!!
YOU DONT "HAVE" TO USE THEM ITS AN OPTION A DISCUSSION A FORUM POST...

yeah, thats the same problem i have ... how do I avoid that?
Obviously, this isn't working for you. I can also sense that you are unable to troubleshoot by your own, so I suggest that you revert the settings back to normal and enjoy PR as it was, without the extra two FPS.
I would, but i got 20fps more then before so i dont stop trying

if you have a dualcore and bf2 runs on a own core, it would work i think.
one core is enough for the windows processes i think.

Interleaving off might be good for gaming and if you have very fast internet.
Example:
Interleaving ON
Ping: 40 ms
Speed: 6 Mb/s
Interleaving OFF
Ping: 30 ms
Speed: 4 Mb/s

This is for vanilla bunnyhopers. In PR you can get on with lower fps easily.

I skimmed the thread and couldn't find the answer.
if I use lock.fps 200 is there a way of saving it to my profile so I don't have to type it in each time?

Add the "game.lockfps xx" as it's own line in usersettings.con, should do the trick.
