Well yeah but it depends on the warhead. Tbh a few hits shoud take out a light APC I should think, a truck in 1-2 but only direct hits, I don´t see a few hydras impacting close by doing much to an APC.
But I don´t know why you have it fixated that you must kill APCs with them, I don´t know what warhead pr is going for bt I assume the HE type which would be focused on infantry/light vehicles. In any case, you can still take out an APC fine with one strafe imo, maybe 2. You just can´t snipe them.

No, You cant take an APC in 1 strafe, unless you hovered, and shot every rocket by it self

Sigh, well I must be stupid then, because I can tell you I definitely have. I have had more experience with the deviation though, not that it matters but maybe if you practice a little more. Not evey strafe is a kill the apc strafe but some are.

Maybe, And I am practising, But As I said before, It has became hard to practice!
There is only one attack huey in training, and Its usually taken, And I dont want to go to an empty server, Because I wanna kill active enemies

Hydras fly slower, and it appears that they "circle" around, instead of hitting accurately.
The thing with PR is that so much work is thrown out the window.. The Hydras on the hueys and such were great, if its not broke don't fix it correct?
Here's something probably nobody knew.. the British breaching shotgun has been removed completely and is replaced by the US breaching shotgun..
Too be honest, I think the PR team should stop fixing things that aren't broken, and add new things?
That statement sounds pretty harsh, but things are being fixed that, honestly, don't need to be fixed.

The Hydras were broken because they didn't have realistic deviation defining their use...
Alex speaks well, as they aren't the precision type CAS they were in previous versions, and if anything they are better for taking out light vehicles and infantry with their spread, so I hope to see that shape their nature on the battlefield, rather than squads rushing at enemy positions instead of calling in Hydra salvos or w/e.
EDIT: One such example I can very quickly provide was especially true in Barracuda, where many Hueys would just to squat all, hovering over base and firing rockets towards the island... Successfully.

unguided missiles are scatter weapons, it's meant only to scatter and confuse enemy convoys and infantry, they are in no way meant to be effective against armored vehicles, although they are if they hit. it's like a mortar strike only the people firing the weapon have a direct visual of their target.
and McLuv gave a great example, aim at a large grouping of enemy and just fire away. that's the way pod rockets are meant to be used, blow up the unlucky, scatter the survivors to be isolated and killed by the squads on deck.
@Dev1200: Those things weren't necessarily broken however there were fissures and weak points. by this i mean they did not properly represent their real life counter part, which is what the devs are trying to simulate. the Hydras are one example, they were very accurate and easy to kill with before which was unrealistic. read the paragraphs above for reason, but quick recap because they are not accurate IRL. The breaching shotgun i'm not sure about but i would assume it was for similar reasons or that there was no purpose having 2 weapon models that do the exact same thing.

Not to deviate but look at this please.

British Army’s new combat shotgun | The Firearm Blog
And please stop using the word 'fixed'.. that particular change was to keep up with current trends (albiet it was a rather easy kind of change, as it meant cloning and relabeling an existing weapon).

I have started to get used to the new deviation, but I still didn't fly the attack huey in a real server.... yet.

You`re supposed to supress and harras the enemy formations, not be a god dammed hunter-killer.
lol.
I don't think anymore to take an APC in the attack huey unless its damaged
