I personally believe that the Chinook should get a spawn point connected to it, to make up for the limited troop carrying capacity.

I like the idea, but i think it would kill you if you spawn during the flight. Unless there is a way to spawn on a vehicle seat.

a spawn point wouldn't work very well imo, 2 crates for a FB that peopl can spawn on is good enough.

And tbh with only 32 people on the team it may not be portraying the reaslism we'd like NOT to have more than 8 slots in a vehicle...but its not gonna take long to transport everyone still. So the gamedynamics willl still be fun.

No, I think he means in like AIX where you spawn on a spawn which makes you instantaneously grab a seat if there is one. If there isn't a seat then you can't spawn.

Oh yeah right, you could spawn in blackhawks and other stuff in bf2.

i.e. a la PR 0.6 (spawning in trucks), bad idea, it was removed for obvious reasons.

Nah, it should be able to drop a TOW as well as crates.

No two crates is fine, and People say 'omg it's gonna be a bullet magnet' that may be true but its going on a 4 KM Map! it's not gonna be hard to keep it out of sight.

Spawn idea would be neat, but, then there would be no passengers, people will just wait until he lands, then spawn and go out, so you dont risk those extra 7 tickets.

Yah and that chinooks would be forced to just hover/fly outside base all the time except when they need repairs, since nobody will bother to spawn at main anymore for a ride.

Carrying people????. we have lot of different helicopters to do that, What PR really needs is a Helicopter geared primarily to ammo transportation right now we could really use some thing like that, Transport trucks right now do the brunt of the work but there not exactly ideal, they usually just make one ammo run and then are abandoned. And no one will ever volunteer to drive for the round and do the supply duty's so it never really get done. But people like flying choppers even transport choppers because it fun, so if the Chinook was designed to transport crates then it will alway's be piloted and utilised unlike the supply trucks.

This will do wounders in helping to keep the team supplied. Which needs to be available constantly form experience.

give the Chinooks 2 ammo creates is hardly enough even to warrant taking off the ground those things are huge they are big enough to incorporate 4-6 ammo crates easily

What's more important, IMHO Chinook should get some kind of gun on one side, or at back ramp. That thing needs something that will scare all those techs and stuff...

Nope, because of the collition meshes that's not possible.

ive seen movie on bf editor forums where some guy created flying platform, and transporting vehicles was possible. He was using implosion(?) effect or something.

srsly? I thought i read that was hardcoded/not possible in the sanging thread somewhere, long time ago though... hence all the talk about having it spawn landies like the other helis do with supply crates now.

Helicopters can spawn crates, they can spawn tanks if you tell them to.
So yeah they can spawn hummers and landrovers, but you can't put a vehicle inside another vehicle.
So you can't drive it into the heli and fly away.

It would be nice with a helicopter that gets to see some more action.
Currently the biggest part of being a chopper pilot is sitting around main waiting for someone to call for extraction/supplies.
Something that apparently SL's avoid because idk, they think we're busy or something..
Give the Chinook crates and ammo boxes and repair stations!! (I just came up with that as I was writing it but it's an awesome idea in my opinion, hence the overenthusiastic exclamation marks) and that way more people would call for the heli because there is a larger chance of people needing something from it.


And Snazz, thats Three, potentially incompetent pilots.
Versus incompetent truck drivers, flipping the truck, hitting mines and IED's and whatnots, getting blown to shredds by AT4's, HAT rockets, LMG fire and 50 cal fire.

We pilots train our asses off to make sure that everything goes flawlessly on actual servers, it's the server admins' responsibility to deal with non-pilots trying to fly.
