I thought I was the only one in awe at the level of beauty present in these UGL variants. :D Don't get me wrong, the G3's UGL's equally sleek and stunning, and that reload animation's just great.

I'm a fond user of the grenadier kit. Unfortunately, when I play, I find logistics trucks and thus crates are hard to come by. Of course, that's due in part to the squad spawning on the rally, which is usually far from any supplies to get the kit.

On Al Basrah, when defending the VCP, a firebase is usually there for a spawn, and therefore two crates should be present. If I'm on firebase defense, I can nab the kit and blow up Insurgents hiding behind the dirt mounds.

The grenadier's an excellent kit for long range combat. Up close, personally, I'm not too good with it.

So I think the problem is lack of supply crates giving squads the useful GL kit. If you can't get it, how can you really use it? :p

Ive had alot of success hitting enemy APCS and tanks with smoke rounds and blinding the hell out of them so my squad could get away.

Grenadier is one of my favorite kits. It's quite easy with my 16:10 widescreen, where the distancemeters are actually right (1 = 100, 2 = 200, ect.)

I think it's not the destructive power of long range frags that make this kit so special. Smoke grenades are the real "killer" because they can successfully supress the enemy and give you some time do deploy your lmgs or send your FT in to wipe them out. And smoke grenades mixed with frags can easily destroy any formation and produce chaos behind enemy lines.

Maybe we should add the M203 to the US officers kit. In most of the videos I've seen from Iraq and Afghanistan the squad leader has an M203.

I can't help but think that people will just get the officer kit for the sake of the all in one super kit, and not for leading the SQ into battle. But I dunno, might work out fine.

IIRC it is true that NCO's/squad leaders get UGL's but, i feel zrix could be right.

would love it ... maybe reduce the granades from 8 to 4 or even 2 ...i just need the smoke ^^ for inter spuad com with mumble "shoot the smoke" ;) and to counter heavy mg fire... smoke the gunner and run

if he just want to have a cool gun (i would take the AR ;) ) --> everybody leaves the squad-->cant take SLkit ... (hopefully)

Teamleaders having 203s is a Marine thing IIRC, Army fireteams have designated Grenadiers

Why is that? Is it just us or is a lot of people not seeing the real power of the G-kit?
Limited kit says it all... Just cannot request it whenever we want and when we do have one, it usually just doesnt last very long..

GL + Small elevation above targets at any range = Great fun.

For an infantry kit it's not that useful, you can't engage anything but other infantry with it and you have the margin of 30 seconds after being downed to get back up or you'll lose it.
To be honest I think the limited kit system for infantry kits needs to be looked at. Just look at how much more useful the LMG kit became after it was made a key part of the infantry squad.

I'm willing to bet when infantry in real life are engaged in full on combat and the enemy has IFV support and they want to get an AT4 to take care of it they don't get to hear:
"Sorry, you can't have one. Steve is using it at the moment and he's over in the safe zone helping set up a forward outpost."
It works for snipers and combat engineers, anti-air and even anti-tank, but regular infantry kits have like a 50-50 chance of being lost before they're even used.

The grenadier/marksman/LAT aren't useful enough to warrant that kind of penalty.

What would happen if the Grenadier replaced the Specialist as a spawn kit, the Officer received a grappling hook and the Rifleman received a breaching shotgun?

This kit is great if you know how to use it.
The problem is not many PR players know how to use it.
If you got a grenadier in your squad you have a big advantage.
Because you can bombard your target and pop smoke in large distances.
