Sniping is super fun on Fools Road, probably the best sniping map because of the view distance and large amount of trees for hiding.

Golden rule for snipers, vantage points are bad places as being able to see everyone means everyone can see you. For effective sniping locations you want to know exactly where the enemy will likely be, pick a spot where you can see a good portion of that area and not too much else firing in between trees/other obstacles. this requires alot of thinking before hand. you want to use angles to your advantage as well, if you cant determine an exact spot, you want to line yourself up to cover a maximum area while maintaining only a small field of view

to cover a larger amount of area a good way to visualize this is imagine you have a bunch of sticks in the ground in a line spaced about 3 to 4 meters apart, looking at them straight on they're pretty far apart yeah? now reposition yourself to look at them from the side. This concept was used extensively by German tacticians during the first world war, placing gun positions on the far sides of where allied troops were expected to attack from.

i personally dont snipe often...or ever in PR, but this tactic is very effective even for simply trying to defend an area
