Russia has nearly the same weapon selection as the taliban apart from their main weapon wich is black and has less deviation.

If there is one thing I hate about PR is that playing a round sometimes takes to much effort.
When I started in 0.5, the game was a bit faster, and you could join the action pretty quickly. The APC spawnpoints have been replaced by Firebases which are build manually and nobody (really) likes to shovel them.
Also, the firebases should be put a bit away from the frontlines, and the 0.5-APC's could be used in the frontlines. Not smart to do though, but it speeds up the action for the player.
In short: When it was still 0.5, I could boot up PR anytime I want to have a good game. Now it takes a lot more effort from the team to create a good game*. When i'm bored and want to play a game, I even think about booting CoD4 for a quick shootfest, instead of Project Reality.

PR isn't a shootfest. PR will become even less arcadey with every release, if 0.5 APCs, SL spawn or radar came back, I wouldn't bother with PR.
There's hundreds of games that fulfill the need for a 'shootfest' way better than PR, if you're sick of arcade **** then PR is the way to go.
The only real thing (apart from not being able to kill with a shot to the head) that annoys me about PR is some of the players. That is what dictates if you'll have a good round. 90% of everyone who plays PR is there for the same reason I am, the other 10% don't understand teamwork and are out to spoil your fun.

I hate unexpectedly smart players. Smarter beyond the usual realistic situation.
Being insurgents and set up a trap inside a building that is often raided by the enemy. It turned out to be the players playing for the American side is too cautious. I was expecting at least one good kill using shotgun with buckshot slug. It is pretty easy in doing so by standing up close and personal, at the time he least expected. But the guy i've been waiting threw a grenade to clear the building before he enters (he lobbed it to the second floor, how did he know that i waited for him there?) Usually they just flash and storm the first floor and mostly forget about the second one.
"Realistic stuff," all the boasts, and all the nags.
Basically it's just a game. If you want something real, then join the army/navy/marine/air force. Uncle Sam needs you, your country needs you. PR is just as good as it is, pressing several keys to let the computer calculate some specific actions that is intended to be closer to reality and display it on the screen for you. I just want to have fun and fascinating re-enactment like "Wow! I can finally see that in this game!"
Overly realistic deviation.
Drunkard fashion.
Still love this mod anyways.

Seriously, what is the point of this thread? For feedback, there's an entire forum section. This is just rant - either against certain, mostly well known problems of PR or against the OP.

And what is your problem funny dwarf? Another geek who got insulted because someone pointed out weak sides of the object of his eternal love? I mean seriously, how the heck can you connect things I pointed out with Counter-Strike? You're living in your own dimension or perhaps you just noticed that your fellow geeks are hating so you will too?
This forum really requires some moderation. Hate and verbal abuse on every step.

I'm not interested in an argument. But what I see in this thread is only an argument.
Just look at the other post you just replied to, and what you replied to it.
I see that the point is personal opinions; that's why I was refering to the Feedback forum. There are threads for the points you had - things many people agree with.
But this thread consists of flame already. Please don't take it personal, but I do not think this thread will lead to anything but "flame" and question it's need. Please don't take it as an offense, I'm trying not to sound like I was looking for a flamewar or anything. But since the first page you were insulted in this thread, and I didn't think that this would change since it continued till page 5, with the exception of page 3 in which people were on topic mostly.
But you're probably right, I'll just leave. Sorry.

Spec and Oz i'd cut that out sharpish if I were you. Yes this thread is to give personal opinions about different aspects of PR but is it constructive? Will it improve the mod in any way? Has any suggestion or properly constructed feedback been given in this thread?
No. Which I believe is why Spec believes it to be pointless.
Also @Ozovich that reaction is uncalled for, if you don't want to start a flame war and have your thread locked then avoid posting inflammatory comments such as this...

- no no-zoom LMG deployed mode - how the f*ck is that any realistic that I have to look in the scope all the time when my bipod is in use.
- headshot doesn't mean you're dead-dead - also shooting wounded doesn't kill. It was succesfuly implemented in Enemy Territory, while you could just approach wounded enemy on the ground and slice his throat with a knife and the enemy medic couldn't do anything. I mean how exactly does a medic treat sniper-headshot wound? Collect all the skull and brain fragments, put it all together into the half of the skull which is left, go some puzzle and hey, it works again?
- small maps - let's be honest - it's not OFP or ARMA, you've your hands tight like in Counter-Strike. Field of battle is terribly limited, which isn't realistic at all.
- fog - connects to the one above and the silho-something shit - I understand that no-fog maps would mean that snipers own anything but are we serious? That's why we have the armored personel carriers and tanks, to protect infantry from threats they can't handle themselves. Also, marksman should be finally fixed so it can work as a counter-sniper, not as a retarded rifleman.
Tbh man, Either Im speachless or I am just pissed off.. This is the most useless post on the forums.
