"They paid" to have slaves. That didn't turn out right or fair, either, did it?
Logical derivation:
Even though it is morally acceptable for a person or group to assume control and rule setting abilities for that which they monetarily pay for, being that they have chosen to share it with other humans, taking away that "shared" privilege simply on a whim due to "ownership" and without any other specified justification is generally frowned upon by those people that make your server worth having to begin with by actually playing on it.
You are not quite on the right spot here. You join on a server by your own free will. By joining you will accept their terms, but only those which you can be aware. If they have a term "Read the forum first" they have every right to do so. If you think there isn't any sense in such rule you may choose some other server or even set up your own. It's your decision!
But if you have accepted their terms, the server owners also have to follow the same rules they have set. You have made an agreement of free server slot you may use as long as you follow the rules. If they don't,
they will breach the agreement! In legal terms it is analogical to the concept of
gift.

The right to freedom of speech may be shut down by any server admin, but, those who do it too frequently often find themselves with empty forums, or consumed by the next competitor completely, as the stragglers who are holding on quickly jump ship.
...
You are not entitled to the freedom of speech on private areas, and a public server is one such area despite it being called public. It is privately managed and server admins have all rights for censorship. It is same with newspapers for instance, the are free to publish or reject any material they desire (as long as it doesn't breach privacy as human right for instance). Like above, you are free to choose any newspaper you wish or publish your own - that's the essence of freedom of speech.

I play on TG US server all the time, even thought I have a constant ping of 130-140, it feels just as smooth as the Euro servers.

If the commander is telling you to do stuff.. Do it... unless your not obliged by the server rules to follow his orders... Thats how Warfare works, and last time i checked, Project Reality is aiming for realistic warfare excperience, if you cant take orders... Then that kinda sucks..

in real warfare you cannot have a 12 year old with no mic as a commander
alternatly in real warfare commanders who order troops to bumb rush into tanks/enless hoards of insurgents/anything elce that will just kill them, tend to get REPLACED

Wicca be nice. Long as this thread doesn't become a flame war and everyone remains objective in debating the topic there is no reason to lock it.

The mutiny function does still work doesnt it? (never seen it used in PR though) Anyway you should be discussing this with the server people with such rules.

As I said before, I generally do follow orders. Good ones. I enjoy the teamplay aspect of PR. That's the whole reason I play it and RUN A SQUAD.
However, if my whole squad vetoes your order, I'm gonna go with the knowledge of 5 others over 1 other. If I, as a squad leader, think your order is bad, because I can see the math of the situation on the ground, I'm going to question it, and if the order is unreasonable or shortsighted, yes, there are times when I will ignore it. I did not blatantly ignore your order more than anyone else on that server. I just happened to be halfway across the map, between Hill 163 and tons of enemies/tanks/APCs when I got it, and the times that I died were when the firebase there was down or non-existant, while my firebase closer to the enemy position was still alive.
If you want to have a server with rules that state you must follow CO orders, maybe another rule to add to that hilariously gigantic list (which I just looked at) would be one that requires a certain amount of experience before assuming the command chair. That just makes sense.
The following Co orders rule is on the loading screen, and scrolls by at the top of the screen during the game if I remember correctly. It's not like you weren't made aware, you were made aware by the admins, still refused and were then kicked. I wasn't the comm on that map, echo/NorthPlum was but I agree with his plan since it was the best for the team. your assault on the next flag did nothing for the team if you took it, would have caused the whole team to have to relocate to defend there instead and was just a waste of tickets.
All of the TG rules are about how to work as a team or how to not exploit or be an ***.

I´d get pissed too if i was chechen commander on kozelsk and somebody tries to capture the useless flags reachable by armor. Face it, the commander in this case knew the game mechanics of the map and you didnt.
I cant comment on the other issues of admin abuse as I never played on TG.
I am totally with gunner on the issue of moral, people that swears alot should host their own servers as alot of us dont like to play with them. An occasional bad word might slip out of everybody sometimes but prolonged whining and swearing is just annoying.

i disagree with the language thing. The fact is that people do swear and curse and that will never change. We all know the meaning of these words and i dont relli think people get offended by them. Unless ther is a clear verbal attack then i dont think ny1 shud be kicked for language.

well tbh mate they shouldnt play this game if they cant take a bit of swearing. I'm not going to name the clan but when we were in a scrim i was reported to the PRL because i was swearing and someone said that ther wife and kids were offended. If people get offended by these kind of things then they shouldnt bother playing IMO.

As you state, that is your opinion. It is the opinion of some server admins that the players will enjoy themselves more if they aren't subjected to people cursing (or using racial slurs/insults etc) and since they run and pay for the server they can feel free to remove players that don't comply.
There are plenty of servers where you can go curse your little heart out, have fun on those servers instead.

Well that person should give a warning they are on speakers. If they didn't then that's there own fault..... I'm 13 and I could care less if people swear. It's quite amusing sometimes!

Yes. It is cool. I give her whatever she wants

. She's actually getting really good at vBF2 and PR. She prefers vBF2 currently but I think she is starting to like PR a little more... except for when her squad is getting yelled at by a commander (which strangely doesn't happen to us in BF2). Also, I think she might like playing BF2 more than I do. She's pulled me away from other things to play by her own volition multiple times now... so... if you get pwned by JK CaseyDia, you just got pwned by a hot chick.
By the way, this whole commander incident is unique. I've played a lot of games and never been hounded by a commander like this... so, don't drink the "jk doesn't like to follow orders" kool-aid. Absolute falsehood.
But, anyway, there are plenty enough servers that we don't need to play on tactical gamer anyway. We weren't banned. We just quit after some guy got !k bad language'd for saying "shit", I questioned it, was told to read the rules, replied that I didn't have time, and was told I should leave.
I'll take my ball elsewhere, kthx.

Good ol' TG. I've only played there a handful of times, yet now I cannot join their server because it says I was kicked or something for excessive teamkilling or something? Not sure I understand, I was never kicked and I'm pretty sure I've never excessively killed any team member, and it very rarely happens, if ever.
Anyways, I've had to play on other servers, because for whatever reason I cannot join that one.

TG has two reserved slots, so when it's 62/64, it's actually full and you will get the kicked message when trying to join.
