Agree, the black screen with the scope in the middle is very annoying, + it doesnt allow to enjoy the quality of the weapon (mesh/texture etc etc) while shooting

.

Scope should be drawn faster.
Scope should have 2 modes in weapon slots: Zoom and un zoomed.
Un zoomed mode would be like iron sights but instead of the sight you would look down the top/side of the weapon to line up the shot.
Blur edges of all scopes.
Ironsights should have less deviation.
The above changes would make PR more fun and realistic!

More often than not, I prefer scopes.
If I have the upper hand, my scope will simply allow me to focus my fire on one target much more accurately. If we are equaled in all aspects excluding the scope, then I will have an advantage at longer distances. In close quarters, it tends to match up quite well.
The only thing I can complain about is the looks of the scopes (because of the strange black circle around the outsides of the viewing area, it sometimes feels clunky), and the inability for the scope to have backup sights available.
I have my qualms about deviations, but in no way do I believe that a weapon should be any more or less accurate due to it's mounted sights.

This.
I hate how I scope in on PR and see a load of black around the edges of my screen, would be so much more immersive to be able to see the edges of the scope and have the surrounding environment visible but heavily blurred. Afaik this would mean that the entire screen would have a 4x zoom but if you blur the edges enough that would not be a problem.

The iron sights and aimpoint needs to be improved with a slight zoom, it is unrealistc hard to hit targets at 50-200 meters, becasue of the resoulotions, that i irl would hit with out a problem in 3 shoots, yes i have been in the military, made my 11 month national service as an mechanised infantry soldier with the AK5 (A) (Swedish improved FN FNC).

i think the scope in time should really be faster. i realize in RL when u look down a scope really fast you have to adjust your eyes where as tilting your head to your shoulder slower can be less jerky, but this isnt RL.

The scope in time should be faster imo, in real life it takes a long time to settle it correctly in the right place, but that's compensated for by deviation. It shouldn't take 3 seconds just to be able to see through the thing.

1) While using magnified scopes, players experience tunnel vision with the black screen covering everything not seen through the scope.
2) Ironsights are at a severe disadvantage at distances otherwise easy to engage at in real life due to the resolution limitation of the computer screen.
3) CQC lacks for both iron sight and magnified sights due to the fact that it is impossible to shoulder the weapon or look through the sights/backups while clearing rooms. Players must either be jogging with the gun at their hip, or must be going at a crawling pace while possibly suffering from tunnel vision due to the magnified optics.
Solutions:
1) Hollow out the magnified scopes à la Red Dot, zoom in the entire screen while leaving only roughly 50 % of the screen's area taken up by the scope, and then adding FH2 style blur.
2) Add a slight, slow zoom to ironsights to all for focusing of the eye. A zoom of 1.3-1.5 times taking a second or two to complete is an excellent solution.
3) Redo the infantry jogging/sprinting mechanics. Decrease the current walking/jogging pace to one suitable for clearing rooms, a faster walk. Decrease the current sprint to be slightly faster than the current jog, but then get rid of loosing stamina by jogging.
Animate it so that when walking the play shoulders his/her weapon and looks through the sights/backup irons. Alternatively, the speed changes don't need changeing to at least implement this last function, but they would make it both much more functional and useful when clearing buildings and realistic.
And yes, I voted for #3.
Agreed.

i think they're great now, tapping 2-3 shots to make sure you hit a target is common practice IRL.

Voted Number 2. For some reason I find the iron sights to be much more accurate than red dot and red dot more accurate than scope. Same settle time and everything.. Anyone else?

I find scopes annoying, can never hit jack shit even when you go prone and wait 10 seconds and then shoot and then after putting 20 shots into a guys face he does a 180 from 300 meters away and 1 shots you standing up.
In close quarters they are useless i just blind fire because you walk slow as hell and takes forever to put up.

Why not borrow what CA does with the ACOG? First click is scope in, with 4x. Right click again and you instantly go to 1x to represent BAC aiming. Click again and you unscope.
Elegant and realistic.

For me ive used the scope before and i think it looks fine. It needs the lens curve effect on the edge of it that makes the chromatic abrasion. Other than that, depth of field would be nice and bullet drop and scope adjustment but that would be not fun for anyone now will it.... lol. I say its fine as is.

Not exactly realistic tbh, and I actually find it rather annoying as it increases the time spent trying to get out of ur scope if you need to move fast, as well as being a bit wierd when your in CQB, and you reload, and have to get to 1x again.
The deploy/undeploy system is much preferable.

Stick a dot in the middle of your screen (i think 1 pixel left and down) and you can see the accuracy of every scope. Also, you can noscope people easier

Definitely scope view needs to be chanced. Anything else than black plate blocking your view is better. Nobody puts eye so close scope that he cannot see nothing else than scoped view(especially whith M4/M16!!!). Heavily blurred vision out side scoped view(or just from far ends, near scope ring light blur) would be so much better. Huh! I am thankful that I am not only one who is annoyed about current state of scoped view.

Aside from being annoying its kinda boring to play like that, I wanna see the shells, the gun, I wanna "feel" the rifle!
