I'm not really that involved with RT or PR anymore - I've lost interest in spending my free time and money on it, due to threats and comments from some members of the PR team. I'll be leaving it to other members of RT to push the PR side of things.

I'm planning to run some "Operation Flashpoint : Dragon Rising" servers for the Reality Teamwork Community, so Ill be much more involved with that - its highly likely that mumble will be adapted for OFP: DR soon after its release, so hopefully we can do some mumbling on there

I'm only aware of TG having separate team channels for mumble (sure the enemy could year you but most maps have armies with different languages...) and I don't enjoy hearing the enemy taunt me after I kill them or hearing 'allah snackbar' type comments on insurgency. Without the overlay working it can be hard to tell who is talking to you, and people using force center is annoying. I think the alt+tab issue showed people that doing without isn't so bad.

Sometimes it's nice to be able to simply kick annoying voice users from a squad. Should mumble someday work as an auto team assigning, auto muting until in game, muting when dead etc type functioning program it would be an awesome addition to PR. Now it's handy in certain situations but not always worth the annoyances.

Mumble is the ultimate experience you can get with PR,if in a fully mumbled and admined servers,such as RT,(second to PRT but thats another issue).

I had the most organized pub games ever in PR,in RT server,including mumbleless games i had with more than 20 LP,TB,CATA buddies on TS.

On almost every round i had something worth remembering,thx to mumble and RT...

I even was gonna send the RT server some 2 digit $,but there wasnt any jet maps on the maplist ever.Anyway thats not the issue,hope we see RT server full, tomorrow at least.

yea i agree its sleeping Plus its the normal year so you arnt going to see as many people on since its not summer anymroe people have jobs and school at night is the best time to find people.. or what ever time UK guys are on

on RT playing music over mumble is banned as per a poll on the RT community forum to decide on this rule.

If som1 is playing music, tell an admin and they'll be kicked faster than you can say 'spam'

UKWF maybe, yeah. It depends on the server though.

If all servers had the same up to date checks running, you may find things a bit different.

The mumble overlay no longer causing PB kicks has greatly increased its usefulness to me as I can finally tell who is talking to me and in what channel. I still need to play with it to make it less obtrusive, but it makes a huge difference.

A few months later and I still haven't seen much use of it.
RT server was even filled with non-mumblers this night.

Come on people...it should be kinda standard to boot it up when you're gonna play....

well when i play i always have mumble, i hate playing without it, i just can't play now. But TG pretty much always has a good mumble crowd in, many epic games to be had there!

But yeah Mumble is awesome. I think 0.9 will have like a install "question" for the mumble so people can choose to install it, so maybe well get alot of new guys in the Mumble

If you have been on RT, been on mumble excperience what happend there, the moments, the laugh, the firefights. Nothing can really bring you back, or make you understand it, unless you try it yourself.
I cant really be any more honest, you dont want to try it? Sure, but if you take the time and effort to play PR, to make it work, then play PR, then you make mumble work, its like a new game, new depth. Without mumble PR is a naked old woman, with lots of wrinkles lots of bugs creeping up and down here, a haag!

But with mumble she is beutiful, like a hot brazillian woman! RAUR! COMON GO GET MUMBLE!

Reality Teamwork is still the only server that enforces mumble use. Apart from our events, we have been very quiet since last summer, but we're now getting the server back to where it was. Unfortunately we cant be too pushy about mumble until we get our server popular again, so at the moment we are concentrating on attracting new teamwork orientated players.

We have been filling the server most nights recently and also getting around half the server on mumble, so now we will start to push the mumble side a little more - hopefully in a few weeks we will get back to the position where we have 100% mumble use, and maybe we will be able to password the server again.
