Hello again from us at Combined Arms (Project Reality addon).
We remain in the final stages of CA 1.0 and are hoping you are as eager to play as we are to fully release it. The keyword for us is "stability". We have been pushing a lot of limits regarding the workload on your processors and videocards for the BF2 engine due to the new weather effects and view distances. You may have to turn down your settings a bit to increase your FPS.
Let me apologize in advance for the late update but unfortunately university has taken priority for most of us working on CA (all 3 of us lol). The good news is that we're back in business and CA is fully 1.5 compatible.
Test Sessions:
CA is a very small and new mod, so to maximize the number of players we can get, we encourage you to arrive at the times posted.
This weekend we will have the tests at:
Saturday 26th at 2pm Eastern US
Sunday 27th at 2pm Eastern US
Will add more next week if the build is stable enough.
There are not too many servers to choose from at this point. Just move to the one with the best ping and have fun.
*NOTE: If you previously downloaded CA 0.997, make sure you have the 0.9972 hotfix. It is necessary to play on local servers. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Or if you have downloaded any version of .997 and installed it (this includes versions .997, .997b and .9972) then you can just install this much smaller hotfix. It is only 43 MB in size.
Finally If you have a mac (lol) or linux (respectable) and cant open .msi files then get the manual files here and drag pr_ca into your battlefield 2/mods folder and the shortcut to your desktop.

- Fixed spawn issues on Muttrah
- Spawns added on Desert Rats training for MEC?
- Added Alkufrah Oilfield (new scenario and sandstorm effect added).
- Fixed crashing on Seethed and Muttrah.
- Pointless text to make list longer
- Fixed MG bugs on Muttrah and 7 Gates
- Added static lights to compounds on 7 gates (WIP)
- Added new loading information textures
- New minimaps
Effects:
- New White Phosphorous effect for marking targets on A-10 (will add to Hydra Huey for 14 HE rockets + 14 WP).
- Bullet effects added to simulate Ricochets. They won't kill you but look nice)

General CA Changes:
Vehicles:
- Laser Targets added to vehicles
- New HUDs and Targeting systems made for most aircraft and ground vehicles.
- Javelin Anti-Tank missile added
- Improvised Infrared Tracking and Fire Control System for tanks, apcs, and aircraft.
- Realistic gravity on shells.
- AAA guns now capable of tracking aircraft.
- New radar system added to Fighters, SA-19 Tunguska, and Phalanx CWIS for early warning and engagement.
- 2x magnification added to planes and helicopters
- Added new Catapult system for carriers to help aircraft takeoff and land.
- Added Air-To-Ground Radar for Aircraft such as the AH-64D
- 2 seat player checks removed for local games.
- Flares no longer attract missiles, instead they hide the aircraft's heat signature. Loadout has been appropriately increased.
Infantry:
- Deviation lowered

- Walking speed increased to facilitate movement with sights raised

- Realistic bullet drop implemented
- 1.0x magnification added for all scopes to simulate backup sights and shoulder firing

Control Changes:
- Turn Turrets in tanks and APCs with W A S D
- Hold fire button for half a second to launch AGM's in helicopters. Click on the target in order to guide the missile.
- In jets the mouse controls the pilots head and targeting displays. Arrow keys are recommended for flight.
- For infantry it is recommended you raise your weapon before coming into contract.
Let me say this: Yes, server crashes happen, but please rejoin if it happens.
Also, the infantry fighting is positively amazing. Incoming fire truly has right of way now, weapons are accurate enough that getting up from cover while you get shot at means death, and suppression works well.
My first time playing CA in multiplayer, I will be there and hopefully Burton and Wiman too.
And Hunter, I hope what you say is true because I have high hopes of CA from what I have heard and if it takes off I will move my clan off of being dedicated PR onto dedicated CA.

2. Drop the file (without extracting) into EA GAMES/Battlefield 2/mods/pr_ca/objects

EDIT: "For anyone who downloaded the wrong version (0.997 without a b on it) there is a quick fix at the bottom of this post" dont need to help anymore i read the topic on the link and its okay all you had to do was download 0.977B
