Personaly what keeps me coming back are the people who play... well the majority of them, also the constant and informative updates on the forums leading to REAL results ingame.

on the original question, its one of the best base engines ive ever seen for a mod like this, the squad system, built in VOIP, and the high MP player count makes it more imersive then the uber 1337 grapics of ArmA 2 or the Arcady noobness of COD, all of witch lack the ability to work as a team what ever way you look at it.

Also the world wide appeal because of the multiple factions and freindly atmosphere, if it wasnt for this the mod would have died long ago

For me, finding Project Reality was like discovering the Holy Grail I had been looking for all my life. When most games advertise, they show directed scenes or planned pictures showing a false sense of tactics and teamwork. Why do they do this? It gets you to buy it doesn't it? People are attracted by realism whether they know it or not. The key is, that when the player realizes its not what they hoped, are they content without it? Project Reality players just didn't want to settle for vBF2 and I'm glad we didn't. We've all wanted to experience the real suspense, real teamwork and real heat of battle. Despite having serious doubts that a game like this could ever exist, I kept searching and finally discovered this incredible mod.
