the G3 have to bad accuracy on long distance targets.

You cant expect the G3 to be as accurate as a sniper rifle, but when comparing it to the bluefor assault rifles i really cant notice the difference in long range shooting. Maybe you should just play abit more on the MEC team and you will learn to control the weapon ? Or maybe im just a stupid guy who cant notice the difference

No, I don't want to and I wouldn't like it if anybody else did that.
Not because I think that younger members might get a heart attack but because I want to post in a friendly envoirenment. In fact, I do not consider swear words as adult words but rather as the kind of vocabulary less mature individuals use.

However, the reason for not allowing swear words on this forum is simply stupid. You want to 'protect' younger members from these words? Why are there lots of posts where people either tell real stories from real wars where real people are being killed or describe situations in the game, where virtual characters die because members of this community shot them with a virtual rifle then?
No go ahead and give me an infraction if you want to.

I disagree with the OP. In my opinion, pistols are still useful in CQB, especially when being an MEC SL, as the G3's huge recoil makes full auto less efficient. You may need several shots to kill your target but that is still better than not hitting at all.

You still have the M16 down as the short barrelled carbine and the M4 as the full-sized assault rifle, when it is the other way around, not to be a pedant.

But yes pistols do suck as much as they should, I only use them by choice in insurgency, when in close quarters they can be more use than an assault rifle against enemies with no body armour.

EDIT: And I will say this again, the G3 ironsights is hands down the best assault rifle to use in CQB, it is thoroughly epic ownage and I love it so.

First rule of any game - there is no such thing as "cheap" within the rules of the game. If it isn't cheating, its perfectly legit.

I think I fixed it all, now.

I think that the pistol is pretty... right, as it is now. It's very much a last-line-of-defense weapon, like it should be.

As a sniper, in CQB, your best bet is now to catch them by surprise and aim for the head, as it should be, rather than running in and shooting about like a madman because your pistol is much less cumbersome than their rifle...



As for G3 Ironsights, I'd say it's only better than the M4/M16 is due to their 3 shot burst; that's not to say they should be automatic, no. However, because deviation spikes while moving, it is much easier to spray and pray (automatic fire) than attempting to aim accurately while moving with burst.

Which sucks, because it makes the M4 less desirable for CQB, since it's not quite possible to really get things done in comparison.

G3 with the ironsights is hands down the best weapon in the game. Only the M4 with an aimpoint comes even close. Its pretty easy to kill targets even at 200m distance with the G3. I dont see why so many people say its not a good weapon.

They're just not used to pulling the mouse down so hard when they open up on full auto.

The small mag size makes some people overestimate the weapon, and they lose because of it. I was the same way at first. Sure, 2 rounds can kill in CQC, but most people don't *stop* after two rounds.
