Awe - When i came back to the mod in about version 7.5 with a mic this time so i could play properly. My first ever drop into the heart of Muttrah with a sq, we land, take out an enemy squad to our east then procede to forge a path to an enemy FOB/AA enplacement, we took this out then capped out the map, the level of teamwork was imense and the realism grabed me by the weding tackle and pulled me in
Its a shame you missed out on some versions of PR because of some idiots
I suppose you dont remember there names?

Awe moment nr.1:
Assaulting north bunker on foot with 2 infantry squads and my mate with two blackhawks fireing into the bunkers and in general. at one point we were pinned by an LMG fireing from the balcony, the blackhawk swooped in and suppresed. We charged under it into the bunker while it was still fireing. So bloody awesome.

They dont have T-90's on Kashan either. They do have T-72's.
Another awesome moment on Kashan was when I was riding on the side seat looking out the right of a blackhawk flying towards bunkers. I had my Stinger missle ready for any helicopters that were going to land there. Out of nowhere a Mig flys by at about 200m up and kind of slow (bomb/strafe runs?) Anyways, I got a lock on him and fired my stinger. I didn't see it impact as the missle followed the mig out of my view range, but I checked my kill count 30 seconds later and it went up by one. Bullseye. Blackhawk > Mig.

When I was on Qinling, the Tornado dropped the really big bomb on a Chinese firebase, and my squad and I died with it, so it was, epic.

One of the first games I played ended up with me in an infantry squad on Basra. We were assaulting across the fields to the south, moving towards the city, and a couple insurgent snipers kept pinning us down. The squad really came together, with SAW gunners laying down suppression fire while riflemen bounded up, putting 203 rounds on buildings, marksman moving to cover and finally forcing them off the position with casualties... pretty normal infantry stuff really, but with all the radio chatter and the way we just naturally fell into our roles, I knew immediately I loved this game.
Since then I've spent a lot of my time flying transport choppers, and I can remember some pretty tremendous moments on Kashan, trying to ferry in supplies and discovering there was a BMP and a MiG that no one had known about... taking hits, ducking down below the line of structures to hide, actually succeeding at dropping off the crate, and juking out of there like crazy all the way back to base... just barely making it with warning buzzers going off. That's the fun stuff.

My shock is that a video disappointed me with no Osprey. (You could remake it, if it was that bad. Valve remake things, hell re-use the stuff they didn't use in the finale of a finished game)
My awe is the fact theres huey, TEAMWORK, my god...mics, and hell, I met a 12 year old today. He was actually a nice person to play with, had a mic, was fun to set up a small outpost hideout on the Battleforce 1 training server near the Inf. training trying to snipe and just general stuff.
A huey. God damn.
Hey, in PR .9 can we have it so the huey can drop a supply box
OR a repair station? It doesn't carry both, it just drops one. (X to drop a repair, right to drop a supply, but if you drop one or the other, you have to go get more from a station, as you can't drop both

)
And big maps! I mean holy jesus!

All those epic tank battles on Kashan I would go out of my way to get in on. Had a few where the level of teamwork was so high it made me feel sad when the game was over.
Taking bit by bit of the map back with every tank + anti air spread over 2 squads + a little bird spotting for us. Just rolling over the map destroying every living thing that wasnt blue guys or us. Lost one tank that entire round, was just pure epicness.
This started off my love affair with Kashan and its tanks, when a driver and gunner conect and really get into it NOTHING can stop a MTB.

This was a few weeks ago flying transport on Jabal. I got engaged by an enemy APC and managed to dip below a cliff near the enemy side out of his line of sight but I was losing power and had very little control left. I managed to pull a hard emergency landing and dropped the crate I had in the chopper. Knowing the APC was nearby I requested a HAT kit and killed the APC that downed the chopper : )

First time I saw a JDAM was on Kashan years ago. same thing happened, was a huge fire fight going on, they had control of one of the bunkers and we couldnt get in, fight was going on for nearly an hour when the JDAM was called in. Everyone was shooting and moving closer only to have EVERYONE stop shooting then....about 10 seconds later BOOM JDAM. No counter fire after it hit, just walked in to the bunker, felt a little weird going from a hard fought battle to nothing at all.

PR v0.85 i think..
Map: Korengal Valley
Team: U.S.
I put together a 6 man squad to build and defend an epic FOB.
I know I know, it's pointless being an insurgency map where we should be finding caches but it sounded fun anyhow.
This was when Korengal had Laniyol on the West side of the map rather than the outpost on the East.
We managed to convoy a logi truck and a humvee to Laniyol and build an FOB up top in the small compound there.
I broke our squad up into 2 fire teams , 1 covering the north side of the compound and 1 covering the South. We built 2 50cals and wire to block or slow the enemy down.
I never expected what happened next. For the next 1.5-2 hours the insurgents would not stop trying to dislodge us. We lost our FOB once, but still managed to get a RP up and never get dislodged completely.
In that time we managed to kill 213 insurgents!!
and then we had one member go commander for an artillery attack towards the end, leaving a spot open for a new squad member who got himelsf 30 kills in his place.
The #1 player got nearly all of his 69 kills on the mounted 50 cal covering the N.West entrance..
This screen shot shows the kills. Players 1-7 are/were the members, including the Commander who came in 6th.
My name back than was KarateDoug.
This was my most epic shock an awe moment in PR and I have yet to duplicate it or see it duplicated. It was living proof that fire teams who do not abandon their covered sectors are completely devistating.
And this FOB left enough insurgents off of the battle field that the US was able to basically walk in and kill caches with nearly 0 resistance ultimatley leading us to victory.
Someone mind helping with the screen shot? Cant seem to embed.

I've had many but I remember one kinda unique one.
I had just joined a game of Silent Eagle about a week ago, skyttegraven I believe. I was on the US team so I joined a squad and spawned in.
We were at the church in the middle of the village taking fire from multiple directions, there were probably 3 squads there, everyone taking cover and popping up to return fire, yelling commands etc. etc.
And for no real reason I looked up at the sky and honest to the gods, I see a giant green boob coming RIGHT towards me. And I'm thinking: "OH SHIT!" because there's a freaking JDAM aimed at me, so I try to run away like an idiot, even though I realize that there's no point. So I prone, like that's going to make a difference xD
And as it happens I just manage to get myself behind a wooden box that protected me from the entire blast.
Everyone else died but I'm still left, and the gunfire stops because the russians are convinced we're all dead.
I managed to get the medic kit and revive another medic and we started just reviving left and right until we got some squad leaders up who put down rallies so people could give up, and by the time the russians made it into the village we were all back on our feet ready to keep up the defence. ^^
