The axles on a Unimog do not go to the center of the wheels, with portal gears they are on the top part of the hub. The Unimog is quite well know for this tech (that and the Volkswagen Kübelwagen, aka Volkswagon Thing)

oh, and for the wreck, maybe have some of the canvas bed cover gone or removed? (could be done in texture but its food for thought)

in the German Army there is a bench for the codriver so that there also can sit a 3rd person

also the driver is sitting left in germany

Just a little update, we hope to have this model completed by the end of the week, then once a dev has checked it we will go on to UV's textures and export.

This has now been given to Wilkinson to be UV mapped, it will then go back to frenzy for LODs, then it will go to Tonnie for a placeholder texture and an export. Then i will touch up the code side of things Just a little update on whats happening here hehe

You'll need to talk to frenzy about him doing some mods to the model for you. I have talked to him and we were pretty much waiting for you to ask hehe Catch him on the xfire community faction group.

Can you just do changes to the model when I finish UV mapping it. So I dont have to REDO the entire model for diff factions?

the germans just need an different cabin i think with MG Cupola

Thanks to DankE_SPB for pointing out a few errors in the goemetry.

They've all been fixed up now, they were mainly just optimizing errors. Geomerty is pretty much 100% now.

Is the U4000 model the same as a Unimog 435 ? they look very similar.

i take a look around and mostly the the U 4000 is a update from the U1400 aka 435

with newer parts " teligent automatik gear" and a biger axles but this here, see´s more like a U5000...... used by the german THW and Local Fire fighters, i found several pics of the U4000 used by many european army´s they all use small fenders by the way everythig is possible

hows this looking now days? wouldnt mind an update as the ADF could use this pretty soon
