pistols where removed to stop para jumps behind lines by squads.

and boats may have some big *** guns, but crew is exposed and very limited in movement, doubt it would be overpowered.

also if you think about it, patrol boats like this (only 2 per side, diff models for diff sides) it would increase squad cohesion, and inter squad co-operation. plus add a new resuply rout for the logistics elements

What was your typical load out before you went into combat?

More specifically, what sort of grenades, explosives, or eletronics would you bring into combat? Would your typical infantry man carry around just smoke grenades and frag grenades. Would you ever carry flash-bang grenades?

4 frags, 7 mags(28rnds cus 30 jam) 2 smoke, and 1 flashbangs. but thats on us and easily reachable
Flashlight on the weapon (w/ a IR lens) IR laser, NVG's,

mission dictates but other things we can carry is a Claymore, C4, DetCord(its c4 in a rope form :) markers for showing rooms are clear adn the same for windows, gerber/multi tool, e-tool, gas mask CS gas, tazers, shot guns with less than lethal ammo.

in the assault bag we would have 5 more mags, 2 more smoke, adn another flash.

for the game though i would stick with just 7 mags, 2 white smoke for everyone ad SQD LDRS get the additonal colors,

sqd leaders and team ldrs have GPS and other stuff that you dont need in game, logistics is a huge part of RL comnbat, these ideas about requiring reloads and resuplies are going to create a more realistic experince since squads are going to have to work together and resuply yet still hold ground, so picking the right spot for a defence is going to be key, along with protecting yoru supply lines. people are going to start to care about that supply truck now if they are half way across Kashan and they are in a fire fight and they are going to need a resuply but the truck just got wacked by a enemy lat team that snuck in from the south cus no one listend to the comander and patroled the south village, :)

I thought they`ve removed the claymore from the us military?

Sorry Loki, but all your suggestions are not in game (I believe) due to gameplay: ex. Grenade Launchers would simply be on look insurgent there BOOM BOOM BOOM oh he died oh look I took down 3 caches with that. Simply too overpowered.

Remember, PR = Gameplay>Realism

And boats are almost never used in-game, not even in Bi-Ming in my experience, since most people stay inside the woods.

Dosent the MK-19 Overheat Fast or did i just hear something wrong.

"i would send 2 guys, if time alows, but make shure that the armor sweeps the area with optics for an ambush first. and have the dismounts use binos before they aproche, its not to hard to spot teh mines since teh game dosent let you bury them, but theIEDs can look like rocks if your movin.

it looks that way but if you tweek it it wont be, especialy if you give it limited ammo, adn there isnt alot of cover for the Crew." I knew it Because me and my Clan mates do that and they think im crazy and in the Army they don't do that. They just roll over and DIE. So there wrong and im right. This is what happens when your Whole Blood line were Soldiers/Generals.... Viva Portugal And thanks loki1120 Ill have more Questions Later on :D

Any thing having to do with Air Assault Ops, APC's, Calling air support (CAS), working with Armor, working with Humers, CQB, anything. just ask :)

thank you.
How would you relate using tactics that are used in Iraq compared to using the tactics in PR gaming? What do you think is applicable and what is not?

Also, if I had known how the Cmdr. of your clan has this sort of experience and was dedicated to using applicable tactics to PR - I would have join your team. I'm in OD-S now though. Perhaps I can play with you guys when my team isn't on.

Over heat??? not a chance,lol.

stiuational awarness, time, how the enemy operates, ect all come into play when we travel down roads. for us usualy if you see one, its to get you to stop right over one you cant see.

on foot i would stop and scan, but in vehicles you always scan teh road ahead trying to look for tell tail signs.

what else ya got?

alot of it is aplicable if you train, the problem is that everyone want to go pubing, thats great, but if you have a dedicated 32 man team they are going to get teh **** kicked out of them if they dont train hard, adn i mean from the bottom up.

when i was with the 22ndMEU clan's PR section i had them trainng on just a 4 man room clear for 2 hours strait over and over, those boys are damn good now and dont even have to think in a mout site.

it is all posible ( with a few tweeks and people who will listen and accept training)

and thank for the kind words :)

Hi loki and thanks for your time,

I have what I think is a pretty good question for the context of PR and Army advisor :)

What is your perception, As a US infantryman embedded in Iraq, of the Iraqi fighters? What I mean by that is what kind of equipment do you see them use or capture, do they have rocks like in PR? lol Also, whats the latest in their tactics?

Thank you again

they move is 3-5 man teams, RPG ambush combined with small arms fire initiated by an IED is what we call a COMPLEX ATTACK.

single sniper attacks on troops and bases,

daisy chain IEDs ( maybe get a few guys in game to get the kit with the IED's and lay them along the edge of teh road in a line maybe 10m apart and detonate at the same time. good way to simulate in game)

AK-47's
Druganov Sniper rifles,
mortars ( fire like 3 and then bounce ( should be a kit for both sides)
RPG's
VBIED(car bomb) ( hit the gate with one, then court yard with teh second, and then a infantry assault behind that)
PBIED(suicide bomber)(maybe looks like civilian model but with a bellybulge thats sharp and a cord in his hand)
IED(road side bomb)

they run and gun for the most part, they dont try and hold ground its a Gurilla war. they drop there weapons and look like civilians after rounding teh corner.

yea they like to throw rocks to get us to shoot, espcialy around the mosques. but of course if we get shot at we kill them.
