[R-DEV]Ninja2dan: Not having a spotter is like masturbating with a cheese grater...mildly amusing at first, but generally painful and bloody in the end.

Thornehaw: If all this have been evidently true, Battlefield is a much scarier and dirtier than ever imagined. Not a conspiracy, but a possibility. If it is true, then trusting another is quite worrisome.

The "farming villige" in center south, is it final? Seems a bit artificial, to me, it does not transfer into the sorrounding terrain. Looks disturbing. Maybe its just me, i dont know.

That being said, i really love the rest of the map, especially those villages in mountains :)

thats because its going to be added lots of other fields and farms along the "dried out river" making it more natural as a "green zone"

its like a small piece of kokan within a rather desert looking map

162eRI wrote:Very nice, it reminds me of a Russian movie about the war in Afghanistan I watched, with its small Afghan villages and this desert/dry feeling. The picture around the FOB also reminds me of real pictures of the war when the soldiers are advancing through this huge grey valley with green grass patchworks!
Good luck ;-)
the inspiration is taken from both 9th company, and lots of referance pics from the area:

Hate sunset, it means that night is coming and that you get to sleep soon :(

Long live mornings :D

Anyway the map looks great, nice use of softwares to have a realistic looking map like this :)

Also from what I see.. this map would be ready before the Norwegians forces, so why not using Russians with their new camo (like in beirut) for now? Or MEC? Could be cool :D

it's all looking very promising, however I find your roads a bit too stark a contrast comparing to the landscape, especially considering most of the roads in this kind of area would be mere dirtpaths or unhardened roads, while your roads are curved like dirt roads but have the color of a paved road, bordering to worn tarmac.

I think IDF will fit perfectly to this map.
Maybe you cando IDF with iron eagle clothing vs HAMAS as INS.
It will be realistic because it's like the mountains in Sinai Peninsula, in Israel-Egept border.

the roads are still just a simple detailtexture with bright color to show the placement of the roads, i will add roadtextures later.

its being made for the Norwegian faction so no chance for IDF, only chance would be as a temporary placeholderfaction.
