these are amazing O_O cant wait to fight through those realisticaly high apartment buildings...no elevators? lol

perhaps in later versions you could texture elevator doors somewhere on those buildings they dont have to work just make it look like theres an elevator

and holy **** yeah i think thats pripyat... the image that the other guy pulled up as a comparison is just from the other side of the ferris wheel...i think

You can see all 92 images here in this gallery:

Okay, I'm going to give this a stab in the dark and attempt to name all the maps listed. Notice, I am not a tester, and this is purely speculation; educated speculation.

Each map seems to contain a set of four pictures, with each picture showing off a different part of the map being shown. I'll try and name all the maps, giving references for each.

Note:
USA = US Army
USMC = United States Marine Corps
GB = Great Britain
IDF = Israeli Defence Force
Can = Canada
MEC = Middle Eastern Coaliton
PLA = People's Liberation Army (China)
RU = Russia
CH = Chechen Milita
Hamas = Hamas
Tal = Taliban
Ins = Insurgents

  • [1-4] Al Basrah -- (2km)(GB vs. Ins)
  • [5-8] Asad Khal -- (1km)(IDF vs. Hamas) Source, Source
  • [9-12] The Battle for Qinling -- (4km)(GB vs. PLA) Source
  • [13-16] Beirut -- (4km)(IDF vs. RU) Source, Source, Source (Notice: I've seen testers playing a map called Beirut over Xfire. Beirut is located in Lebanon.)
  • [17-20] Dragonfly -- (2km)(GB vs. CH) Source, Source
  • [21-24] Fallujah West -- (1km)(USMC vs. Ins) Source, Source
  • [25-28] Fool's Road -- (2km)(GB vs. CH) Source
  • [29-32] Gaza Beach -- (2km)(IDF vs. Hamas) Source
  • [33-36] Iron Ridge -- (2km)(RU vs. CH) Source
  • [37-40] Jabal Al Burj -- (2km)(USMC vs. MEC)
  • [41-44] Karbala -- (2km)(USA vs. Ins) Source
  • [45-48] Kashan Desert -- (4km)(USA vs. MEC)
  • [49-52] Korengal Valley -- (1km)(USA vs. Tal) Source
  • [53-56] Kozelsk -- (2km)(RU vs. CH) Source
  • [57-60] Lashkar Valley -- (2km)(GB vs. Tal) Source
  • [61-64] Muttrah City -- (2km)(USMC vs. MEC) Source
  • [65-68] Operation Barracuda -- (2km)(USMC vs. PLA) Source
  • [69-72] Operation Archer -- (2km)(Can vs. Tal) Source
  • [73-76] Qwai River -- (2km)(USA vs. PLA) Source, Source
  • [77-80] Ramiel -- (2km)(USA vs. Ins) Source
  • [81-84] Siege of Ochamachira -- (2km)(GB vs. CH) Source
  • [85-88] Silent Eagle -- (4km)(USA vs. RU) Source
  • [89-92] Steel Thunder? -- (4km)(USA? vs. RU) Source
Information:
  • 23 total maps
  • 8 new maps
  • USA featured in 7 maps
  • GB featured in 6 maps
  • Russia featured in 5 maps
  • Chechen Militia featured in 5 maps
  • USMC featured in 4 maps
  • Insurgents featured in 4 maps
  • MEC featured in 3 maps
  • PLA featured in 3 maps
  • Taliban featured in 3 maps
  • IDF featured in 3 maps
  • Hamas featured in 2 maps
  • Canada featured in 1 map
Again, this is all speculation, do not take my word as truth, but merely as an observation.

They can yes, it's happened a few times before.

A few reasons:
- Some maps are no longer suitable or up to current standards.
- The levels installer file has to be kept reasonable in size (less than 2GB apparently).
- Some are just plain old and most of us have played them to death.

There might be a separate map pack for them though.

I doubt a rally would still be up if you were also in the building, from what we know it's not an insurgency map so no caches either.

I for one welcome our new enter-able-high-rise overlords.

Well, I think the smaller 1KM maps were broken ever since those 200m/300m cap radiuses were put in play. They'd be good again if the old flags were put back.

If this is true, that means almost every single map that has the PLA will be removed... Don't really like that idea at all.

I will surely miss OGT, Bi Ming and Mestia if they removed them.

However, you guys also have to consider that perhaps the only maps with screen-shots in that gallery are the ones that suffered some type of change/edit... which doesn't mean that all the above maps will be removed. Even though im sure most if not all probably will.

Removed maps should be making a return in some sort of extra map pack, but probably not released with v0.9.

What hardware specifications/settings did you use to make the images look so good and crisp?
