I said that many of the wars, like britain vs. china, is unrealstic. The fighting is almost as realistic as it can be

Back to the topic. I really hope its a carrier for Russia. Its kinda annoying seeing US the only ones attacking from carrier in several maps. And they call us the invaders,

When I think about it, ANY random combination can have a Tom Clancy-ish fan-fiction backstory to it.

Even something like MEC vs. Taliban, because that can be a scenario where MEC takes advantage of the lawlessness in Afghanistan and invades to expand their borders and establish a front against the United States. Obviously, the Taliban doesn't like anybody removing them from power, and they defend their land from MEC as well.

So you can go crazy with the combinations if you want; anything can work as long as there are nerds to explain it for you. Of course, the above idea is probably a ridiculous turn-off for some players.

You do realize that "MEC" are at war with Taliban today? Its not unrealistic at all, actually i miss a map with MEC vs Taliban.

Back to topic... If there is a carrier will Russia then have any form of aircraft?

There will be a map silent eagle with Russia vs US with all assets. Same mode as kashan desert. And there is a pilot kit for russians too now, so I think 95% yes.

Thats what I thought at first. But after asking andy about it he answered

just check which planes do they have ? Mig or Frogfoot are there more planes russians use ?

So it seems like the mig and frogfoot will appear on Silent Eagle unless it was sarcasm.

Mig-29s and Su-25s cant take off from carriers sadly, at least what I know of.

Actually Su-25s do take off from carriers. Russian navy has 10 su-25s for naval operation from carriers. No new aircraft will be added I think. So for Russia its Mig-29, Su 25, mi-8 and mi-28(havok). Silent eagle for russians will be a land based air base, for americans an abandoned air base that they have to capture in the beginning to receive air assets and such.

Yes, but those are different models from what we have. Which would mean a "new" aircraft.

Even though I have no experience as an Admiral, i wouldnt send that naval Frogfoot up against the IDF

Also, russian carriers look a bit different than american. The most distinct feature is the bent up forward take-off section of the carrier. So if it a carrier for Russia here, russians will probably use the US carrier
