I often find that bad squad leaders are also at fault.

As a squad leader, I find I often can't get my guys to do what I tell them, I figure it must be something about my personality that makes them ignore me. Most of the time I just accommodate for this and do the best I can, sometimes resorting to violence if no-one will listen. (I'm looking at you, Filamu...)

Shouting and screaming like a power trip madman isn't going to help anyone, and I find it very hard dealing with such people.

What I find is that you'll often have some either extremely talented players on your squad who should be squadleading but instead just [insert orders for squadlead when near potentially dangerous location], and some extremely untalented smacktards who take the MG/Sniper and go Rambo while pretending not to hear you over voip. listen to the smart ones, kick the idiots so the smart ones get the MG.

The real problem is when you are playing on a server run by smacktards and as a result either have to kick every squad member, or run a ship of fools. (as in the one I mention in the first post, it was =H= Hog hardcore insurgency, believe it or not) It's a tough choice, believe me!

Insurgency has at least 15 men sitting on a cache who are discipined enough to not stray too far from it. You can forget about trying to get lucky with even a 6 man squad. If you do not rally a sizeable force and place spawns of your own Blueforce will lose bad.

Teamplay works, get with likeminded people and play toegether with them. The guys who play against you will either change their "I dont like being told what to do" mentality or switch to a server where both sides are similiary disorganized.

I play on team oriented servers too and it still works as a valid tactic. Both ninja'ing a cache with a 2-3 or even 1 man squad and the rush tactics. You stay away from the enemy and hope to pin them down and it won't work because they will just keep spawning in until they eventually overrun you or take out your RP. You especially need these tactics on the imbalanced insurgency maps like Korengal, Ramiel, and Archer. You can even put on an insurgent/Taliban kit and get right up to the cache a lot of the time. I didn't believe this really worked until I tried it too.

I have no issue with players being serious about the game. In fact that's what I love about this game, is that it is a serious game. I like a certain amount of military role-play while playing. Helps with the immersion, makes it more fun. No what I have issue with is... 1) SL that think they are god 2) SL abusing other players.

As for yelling & doing something wrong... like I said earlier I am not in the RL military so there is no need to go all Gunnery Sgt Hartman on my butt. If the SL doesn't go all Gunnery Sgt. Hartman on me I won't go all Private 'Pyle' on him. Respect begats respect. You are not going to get me to do anything by abusing, screaming, swearing, yelling, threatening, insulting or whathaveyou. You will however get me to do things by treating me with respect, consideration & yes I dare say kindness. Just remember I am a civilian in real life & have zero tolerance for being treated like **** & we will get along just fine.
