I usually play on the [CIA] Langley server Ewoklord, so if you get on there and see a squad named ENG VOIP INF (I'll usually be SLing, and my ingame name is darkside135) join it and I've had really good players on my squad each time I play. So keep any eye out, we'll teach the yuggins.

To be honest I'd stay clear from TG as even I, the experienced player gets kicked out of my squad faster than I can say BUT I.... if I did anything not in line with the squad-leader. Even if I was only following at 6m instead of 5. Not trashtalking TG here just saying that TG is hard-core.

I'd just try out any server and tell the SL your new. If he kicks you out, your better off without him anyway. If hes going to show you some stuff than its all good

Prior to 0.9 I played on TG exclusively. Not a single time has something like that happened to me... nothing even remotely close. Everyone was helpful, friendly and the only times people got kicked from squads is when the blatantly ignored orders over and over again.

Maybe they've gotten a little more unforgiving since 0.9 release to counter the new waves newbies, but I doubt most SLs act the way you're describing.

I haven't been able to get into Tactical Gamer so I'm not sure what its like. I'll make my own judgment if I can get in. I'll look for you, Darkside, if I'm ever on that server. Thanks guys! I still can't believe how a simple thread asking questions has grown to reach five pages. This forum moves way faster than any other ones I've been on. Thanks again guys for all the pointers.

It was prior the .9 release and someone from an inhouse TG squad. Its not the only story like this Like I said earlier, im not saying its bad, just saying you'll need to be in the mood. Not everyone in TG plays like that but there are some that do. You can have them on any server sure, but most likely to happen on TG.
