Wow, there have been a lot of replies on this thread. I came back today expecting two or three replies since I last checked and instead there has been 20 additional replies. I'll get around to reading them all, soon.

Its not so bad if your playing as infantry / land vehicles etc, but jumping in an aircraft with anything more than optimal ping is asking for trouble, and more often than not getting it.

I've never had a hard time flying. I played on a full Muttrah server the other day with a ping of 340m/s. I took an LB inbetween the buildings and was engaging infantry as well as vehicles. I was airborne for about ten minutes before I was damaged badly by ground fire and even then, it wasn't fatal. I just landed before the LB exploded (and found a crate, got an AT kit and took out an APC, all with 340 ping!)

The only time I have accidents flying at high ping are the same kinds of accidents I'd have with low ping... like trying to fly under the bridge in Kashan...

I've recently come back to PR and am finding the new version absolutely superb besides some performance problems on the new maps (which aside from that are stunningly good maps.) God, being an insurgent is fun (just wish there were more ammunition points; people really don't like setting up FOBs.)

I too am playing on a 250 ping to the US. I find it does not affect game play in the slightest, even when flying. Unstable servers do affect it. Our connections in Asia are actually extremely good, many of us are on 100Mbps fibre, myself included. However, the international pipes from Asia are awful and small distances mean big ping leaps.

It is so annoying when I get kicked from US servers, because Chinese, Korean and Japanese servers really suck as there's generally no real feeling of anyone playing it tactically and also even if there are squads with communication, it's in Chinese/Korean and the squads tend to split up and go their own way.

Im sorry but i don't agree , some amercian players joined this server for europe and they all had 200 ping + , it took me 5 shots from close range to kill one guy and it takes 3 sniper shots sometimes AND yes i could see the dust on there heads.

And rember guys this is PR not vanilla , your targets here aren't bunny hoping or dolphining all over the place , here most targets are not moving or moving slowly so you can't really say "My ping is good at 200" , go try 200 ping in vanilla in a inf map then we will see how it doen't effect you.
