Bi Ming night was playable, i loved it. it was the most exciting map for me when i first started playing PR, keeping my squad together was a challenge, positioning them in good ambush points was even harder. but watching your enemy waltz right into an open field while you're just standing next to them then having all of them instantly lit up and killed was awesome

OR ARE YOU JUST AFRAID OF THE DARK..... :-D
BF2 Special forces had two cool night maps that worked well online so i not buying your arguments guys.
As for my opinion well humans don't like the dark we didn't evolve to live in it and naturally feel vulnerable and exposed.........BRRRING IT YEAH!

Apart from the Fact the night maps on Special Forces were buggy as hell their was a little problem of BF2 ran BF2 shaders and special forces had their own ;)

Hence why we keep saying that in every thread thats posted about Night maps :)

i guess for the usual maps (AAS, insurgency) a dawn/dusk would be better. for ones like 'radio tower' on EOD, e.g. defending an outpost or firebase, night would be best, as charlie owned the night = night attacks were common. flares would be the sheeyit.

I think we need one Night map. Maybe USMC vs Taliban? Or something like that? The night vision give just 40 to 60 % better look in area. What do you say?

since your from Latvia and new to the forums I'll explain for you :)

the NVGs cause huge bugs on newer graphics cards, enough to stop their implementation. PRV could use them since NVGs weren't used by the average GI in vietnam, thus the bugs would not occur since the NVG code isn't being used.

Until someone finds a workaroudn for NVGs in PR modern, there won't be NVGs, and therefore there won't be nightmaps since it wouldn't be an adequate represenation. Best we can do right now is dawn and dusk.

Aren't there many EOD night/dusk maps. They worked well. At least one should be ported.

No need for NVG.
