Cant remember if it was Extraction or Insurgency, but it was when the US had the SR25
I remember waiting for the VIp in the SUV with a missile launcher or something and almost everytime he'd rumble past on a road I wasn't on hahahah so I'd chase him for a couple minutes then give up
hink it was the first release with brits, not sure though......It was definitly the release the brit grenade appeared

Sounds like v0.4 to me.

This had me thinking, which version was it when the M4 for the USMC was a super 1337 lazor beam?

One of my first experiences was extraction also.

Other fond memories of first few games(don't remember which order):

-Spec Ops kit parachuting into Muttrah and getting slaughtered at mosque
-Qwai River being a ninja in the grass
-Operation Ghost Train, first huge firefight with armour/infantry/snipers/smoke...

First found this mod via youtube. Some vid about Muttrah v1, just a guy giveing comentary on his gameplay then i found more (one showing off some kool lilbird insertions with good squad work). So i downloaded v0.8 as soon as i got a copy of BF2 and got my brother to try it as well and started up a round of PRSP hills of (hamygom?) to use as training.

I remember acctually waiting for the breathing to reach one of it's peaks before i shot as the sniper (not for the breathing to disappear) and one time a bot was making a racket so i shot him just so i could hear the breathing . Spec ops was so fun.

Anyway after a year of PRSP i finnally got my CD-key to work and hoped on Korengal Valley (fav map ) and on some American server and was Taliban (by this time was in v0.85 i think), joined a squad and picked up a AK just to start off (mainly cause couldn't get my fav GL kit) and about a 2 min after joining, got kicked for ping. but those where the best 2 min ever (well thats what i though back then when i had only just started to play online gaming) just hearing the other ppl planing, talking to each other and about 1 min of bleeding sound . And now it's just gotten better, besides some rounds of complete silence in whole team.

Strike at Karkand 2 v0.4 when I first got the mod and checked it on local, then Op Greasy Mullet v0.5 was first online.

think it was version 3.2 or something.. can't remember the map.. was some jungle map with a chinese base i believe?

My first round was on "Road to Kyong'ya something" which I believe was created by Irontaxi. That was back in 0.4, and I remember thinking to myself all the kits were the same cause I was getting the same gun on all kits.(unlike vanilla).

Al Fallujah Region ( later named Desert Storm) was one of my favorite back then with the first version of AAS (sort of). I thought that was a great idea for gameplay. About 2 weeks later we got the epic 0.5 release. Now that was something! Got hooked. Good times.

This. I even think Darkpowder was one of the first people I played this game with.

0.61 Kashan and I was lost I spawned in an apc because I had just swept through the manual, but the manual can only learn you so much. So I was alone in kashan I had jumped out of the APC and I saw only two things it was a bunker and some tanks + the apc driving away from me
