This thread was sweet so, I'll try to revive it. Here are some good clips I've found on YT.

Marines vs. NF firefight in the snow. Can't wait for firefights like this in PR ...

Ray Mears, he's like Bear Grylls, just not as gay, togehter with soldiers from H?rens Jegerkommando recreating Operation Gunnerside.

Not the norwegians, but "pretty" close! Swedes taking fire in A-stan.

They didn't respond with fire since the talibans were hiding behind women and children. As you can hear, a guy yells "Kvinnor o barn klockan 12" which means "Women and children 12 o'clock!"

Being in the army has made me realize how realistic Project Reality can be if you play it right! I know this is a movie thread, but these two pictures are at least related to both PR and NFF. I made my squad play PR, and they loved it. Being able to play our IRL-jobs in the game, and using our knowledge right made this awesome. We hoped NFF would be done in time for us to play while in the army, but realized that this was a long shot. Were out of this cold-*** shithole July 1st.

You must be stationed at Setermoen, then.

You, sir, are correct. Ever been here?
32 DTD! Have had a hell of a year, insanely awesome, but now I'm over it. Just want to get the hell out of here.. Dimme laell !!

Last week I found out that these final weeks, all I'm going to do is "m?nstring".(Scrubbing and washing and preparing every equipment, vehicle and weapon we've ever touched or laid eyes on for next years inmates). 4 weeks of m?nstring is like a year in the civilian life. fml.
btw, epic picture. Still.. From my point of view, Setermoen is Mordor. No doubt.

Was in the general area during CR 2010, but never at Setermoen itself.
Wouldn't mind working in some of the units there, mind you. Particularly KavEsk in PBn would've been nice.

Ah, Cold Response.. Really wish I could've been a part of that.. Cold Challenge as it was named this year was a huge disappointment. Didn't fire a single round, didn't see a single enemy except from the fighters in the sky.
I share barack with Kavesk. I'm in Stormesk3/PBN. Pretty much the same, only kavesk has UAVs and snipers, and they're the one hidden in the front line telling us where we should go kill and get killed.

Sounds familiar. Got taken out by TMBN calling in simulated artillery myself.
"Go and get killed" - that's why I'm not too keen on Storm (apart from the whole "STORM!" thing). ;) Being the "eyes and ears" is so much more interesting, IMHO.
