See stuff like that right there just brings things down. I didn't **** you're parade of you asking a simple honest question now did I? No, but if you're going to be so stubborn and immature then you need to take some of their advice yourself and leave before you get kicked/banned.

Like I said, lets keep things civil. Jeremey if you feel that a particular post is unhelpful or inappropriate for the thread topic then please make use of the "Report Post" function in the top right of every post.
I'm not going to make this point again.

Okay Jeremey, I first started PR when I was 12, last year to be exact, I've always loved military so this game suited me perfectly, It depends on Maturity, Patience and ALOT of teamplay, I believe you and the 12 year old will be able to play, I'm not so sure on the 5 year old though.

PR is a game that requires a certain level of maturity. While your 12 yr old brother may have a go at it (heck, i started playing when i was 13) I am 100% sure that the 5 yr old won't understand the basic aspects of the game and/or simply won't "fit in" with the community. I hardly see a 5 yr old playing BF2 to be honest, but that's another thing.
Oh, and if your brother has a high pitched voice he may annoy some people therefore get kicked from a squad, just a little insight.

compare it with smoking
the younger a person is when starting, the more it is influenced.
imagine a 5year old, or a 12 year old starts to smoke?

Well to be honest, how good does reporting someone do.. It's not hard to re-make an account or change your ip.. Honestly man it's just a waste of time (no offence.)
If further action could be done say.. have a individual computer have a codename which was permanent and you could ban that codename forever then yes it'd be worth doing. But untill then, I'll just let them be. I used to manage my own forum and I don't know how many times I had to ban this hacker that kept getting into my site and messing things up.. Never worked, changed his ip rejoined and kept hacking me.. So I quit hosting stuff..

Well this forum cares, I can't get away with anything and neither should anyone else.
That code you're talking about is a MAC address I believe.... but those can be changed

Which is why it isn't a Mac address xD
Computer makers need to get smart that way if any illegal transaction is done all Computer addresses can be logged and bam on the spot stuff.. (Unchangeable address that is.)

Hello and welcome to the community. as many have mentioned:
- awesome mod
- great for teens and above
- not so great for kids, the last round i played i was on the front and capped out 3 objectives without firing a single shot. and this was on a loaded 64 player server and the combat was intense, my squad just played it smarter than everyone else XD.
As for your 5 year old, i think its a bit early for shooters. but since you say he's already playing them, i say keep him on bad company or something similar. Average shooters dont get frustrating cause you tend to respawn really quickly and killing is a breeze. PR requires a lot of thinking and waiting. so unless your kid enjoys 3 dimensional tic tac toe...

Haha, once I turned 16 and asked the people in my squad how old did they think I were I got answers like...
"43?"
"42"
"Uh, man, you sound old!"
No idea how proud I felt

He has patience, right now it's about 110 degrees outside and that's not to fun to be running around all day with no sprinkler around.
Same with the quote above. 110 degrees no sprinkler isn't fun, I experienced this from my childhood. It's alright for a while, but the humidity here just makes it that much worse.
We don't have LEGO's around here.. (Live in the middle of nowhere.)
110 in the Midwest? You live in southern Indiana or something?

I'd just let the 5 year old play it, with supervision at least initially so they don't do anything too silly.
Chances are he probably won't like it much anyway, my friends in their mid 20s don't even get into it. Enjoying PR is more about the right attitude than age or maturity IMO.
I recommend getting used to the mod yourself first, perhaps with them observing so they have some understanding of the game play and teamwork before playing themselves.

Well I'd say that is oddly late. I got out from the helium voice after 12 and half years.

No game or mod gets as realistic as real life war. PR is the only mod that comes close.

Hey mate,
Welcome to the PR Forums
PR multiplayer is suited to mature players. I have 2 younger brother who have attempted to play this game and because of their young age they just couldn't grasp it. Also younger players tend to frustrate the older players and get un necessary grief (sometimes minor verbal abuse) for just not being mature, or having little game knowledge or common sense.
PR Singleplayer is very tame, and also a good game. I personally play more SP than MP. I would recommend this for young children (ages 8+ ) if you want a free game to keep them entertained.
If you are looking for good mods to entertain the kids, i would recommend you check out Allied Intent Extended (AIX2), Battlefield Pirates (BFP2), and Forgotten Hope 2 (FH2). These mods all have good SP elements. Another two mods you could check out that i found mildly entertaining are US Intervention (USI), and Desert Conflict. From personal experience i have found that the most popular mod among younger players is AIX2.
AIX2 provides a good arcade type gameplay, that is not offered by project reality. It can be described as the opposite end of the realism scale. Its unrealistic, and just a good run-around shooter.
So overall, for the older child i would try him/her out on Project Reality, see if he/her enjoys it. For the younger child i would set him/her up on AIX2. You can find a download link for AIX2 here:
Allied Intent Xtended Website
Hope you find a good mod/s to satisfy both your own gaming needs, and the childrens

Yea as rudd said our
[R-MOD]XXX team does a great job of keeping the forums spam and scum free

People that cause issues are swiftly defeated with the mighty ban hammer. In general most of the forum users don't cause any trouble, its a rarity that we get someone who sets out to offend people.
