ok, but the rest of the team of the lonewolftard would be prejudiced..

this technique is already used with humvees nowadays on bf2/pr.. i wonder if it wont become a ***** in 0.4...

one nice idea would be the tank just able to move if there is a driver AND a gunner. couse i'm sure there aren't much tanks without a gunner on wars

well just make it not able to change positions at all


if you are a driver unless you left the tank and another one join will not be able to be the gunner

also if you are the gunner and the pilot leave you will not be able to move the tank unless you leaver and renter the tank(but then you will not be able to shoot again unless you find a new gunner)

that's just going to he horrible.

gunner: "ok, you go in first I think"
driver: "right" hopps in
gunner: "now me so I can go gunner" goes so hop in
n00b: N00b runs up and hops in
gunner: "FU%K! why am i on the .50?"
driver: hops out to look
gunner: hops out and back in
driver: hops in
driver/gunner: "???!?!?!?"
n00b: TK's APC
rest of the team: Kicks the entire crew

Well IIRC, every time you hop into the gunner seat, you have to load another round. It takes almost 5 seconds to chamber a round. There might be issues with using the MG and immediatly switching to driver after taking shots, but the lonewolf tanker will be at a huge disadvantage because a 2 man crew are not only a mobile target, but they already have a munition chambered. A decent 2 man crew will get the first shot off every time. :mrgreen:

For comparison's sake the original xtract code is 20,480 bytes, which translates into 605 lines of code :)

The new xtract version is 69,632 bytes, which translates into 1,633 lines of code...and it's still growing :D

Now the escort team will have to escort a fellow player through varius Rendezvous Points (CheckPoints) before making a successful xtraction, instead of going full speed in only a vehicle...or you could have both on the same map so that you actually use the Suv to escort the Vip inside of it...or use the suv as a decoy and escort the vip on foot or another vehicle...

There're many possibilities.. ;)

On another note, Scenario is also going to be very very sweet. Multiple objectives to accomplish for each team...what more can you ask for :-P

What weapons will the british infantry include?

SA80A2? (or prehaps the L85A1 from BF2 eww)
L85SAW? (I can't rember the exact name is been awhile since my cadet days)
L96A1?

What about Anti-Tank/Engi? I think for engi the carbine SA80 might be a cool addition

I assume S/F will probably get an M4 still, I would rather see a SA80 decked out with a silencer though. :P

and my biggest question, will the shotgun be making a come-back :)

the brits at first will not have any guilly suits as it would take abit of work to make 1, and we cant use EAs version. So when the brits first come out, they will not use 1 no, but we might add one in, in a later date ;)
