I think your all missing the point, we are all VERY much aware of the advantages and disadvantages of the two and one channel system, there are threads about this.
The point is, this is a single event... for the lols! why not? next event they can do 2 channels and/or any other combo of voip and mumble.
RememberTheAlamo, just do it. Then have more events with No Voip + 2 channel and any other combo you want.

1 channel mumble is way better...
IRL you can whisper and use hand signals. BOTH systems are unrealistic.

This sounds like an awesome idea xD, now to find 64 people who will enjoy it and utilise it =], got to love mumble with one channel, you can scare the others, or bait them all for fun, and isn't that why we play games? =]

*slap*
You don't stop talking just because you're flanking in real life. You also have other means of communicating than just your voice in real life that can't be properly implemented in-game and are best simulated by voice.

Fun is subjective.

in mumble you can't hear someone whos far from you, no voip+mumble would make squads work together... got it? sometimes we see some infantry squads fighting like vanilla soldiers

Captin obvious saves the day.
This if anything will be achieved better with 2 channels as you wont have to stop talking when you are near enemies. I know that If I am playing in 1 chan and we go into enemy territory im just going to have to type, which defeats the point of even playing with mumble entirely.

wat.
1. People work together as a general rule in PR.
2. Fewer communication options does not improve teamwork(Especially with a 1 channel system).

Exactly. However, some people seem to treasure the ability to spam **** over getting the most out of mumble.

bf2 voip is for whispering and hand signals....mumble is for coolness and telling the guy in the mg where the enemy ar is. and for squad leader radio.

No, mumble is about dynamic communication. If you want to split your squad up into several smaller groups and have them communicate effectively without blocking each others' comms then you use mumble. If you link up with members of another squad you use mumble. You can temporarily attach people who aren't part of your squad but are waiting for their squad to get back, move with you to link up with their squad, or working with your squad because their squad is down at the moment, etc.
Mumble should be your main channel of communication unless you need to contact your squad in its entirety, at which point you use in-game VOIP. Mumble provides local situational communication. You can call out a target using the compass and people will know which direction to look, whereas with in-game VOIP two people could be in completely different positions, making the compass less useful. Comm channels aren't flooded by people talking over each other and they can communicate much more efficiently.
With a 1 channel system all of that just goes out the window, you can barely use mumble at all and it loses 2/3rds of its potential uses. You're better off using TS. What happens with 1 channel is dead people spamming to confuse and annoy the other team, teabagging and other assorted retardation, and just general stupidity.

making up codes for moving like nodding up and down or scoping or text chat....mumble is kindof quiet so if you really whisper and the enemy isnt opposite the wall you could just use that....if they are opposite the wall though chances are they heard you already.

Are you serious? Try making a system and having everyone adopt and remember it, it's not going to work and instead of starting with something silly like that we could just use a 2 channel mumble setup... On to mumble, whispering doesn't work because mumble doesn't work like sound does. Within the 70m range you can hear people push the button and the volume doesn't decrease and increase with a lower and higher voice as it would in reality.

Are you trolling me? in the case you arnt everything you said is wrong.
1. Making up codes for moving... no. simply no.
2. whispering doesn't work in mumble.
