the Marine Corps haven't totally taken over from the British - we've only relinquished Musa Qaleh and Sangin so far...or as to my understanding.

ah cool, that's fair enough then. i though it was supposed to be based around Lashkar Gah.

Check a few pages back, it was stated it is likely to not be included as far as is known. Coop not sure, someone with knowledge will have to answer that.

I meant Basrah, which to my knowledge the Marines and Iraqi Army are controlling.

Yes, US had taken over control. That's why.

It never was intended to make Al Basrah V2 as replacement for the original map.
We just made a community map where we experimented with different gameplay settings and tweaked balancing.
It would be really easy to leave out the custom weapons/vehicles and put back in the British Army. I even offerend to help to merge back desired changes.
But map owner R-DEV Duckhunt is LOA for quite some time and therefore can't be asked for permissions to touch his baby.

Is this too selfish? But I personally like the maps that feature the U.S. the most.
I cringed when the Canadians took over the USMC in Operation Archer, though I understand why some other factions need more maps featured as well.
Hmm... I guess I'll have fun with Germans. But I love playing as the U.S. the most.

They added Canadians in Archer because it was a Canadian Operation IRL
