That's a shame, but it doesn't take much to educate them about it. Being an SL you have the chance, or even if you are a squad member with a new SL. I do my best and try and educate new players, and tell them that unless I say to give up, wait it out, in theory what is 5-15 minutes (depending on how many times you are killed and can be revived) in a round that will most likely last over 1.5 hours? When you look at it, its not that much at all.
In regards to CQB, I will say sometimes I just get the bejesus scared out of me, and don't fire back, sometimes I've even fired upon a friendly who sneaks up behind me, or who has said "boo!" on mumble, or those few times when you have a grenade pulled and you click the caps lock key to check the map and the nade gets thrown.
CQB much like the way SWAT/HRT teams enter a room is supposed to be swift, and lethal if need, in most cases, trying not to let the other guy get a shot off, or if he does, u shoot back with enough bullets which will make him look like swiss cheese, or just enough to put him down.
If they want to shoot back let them, i enjoy some good skirmish/cqb battles, i wish there were more of them, i think its a great facet of the game that there isn't enough of, same with firefights which resemble world war 1 type shoot outs.....ahhh but i lament and maybe i'll develop a scenario where e all can participate in something like that.
